Crop before annotate
Must to crop (compulsory portrait orientation) image before annotate it. Once text tool selected － no keyboard comes up. No use. Buggy.
Still works but needs an update
Please update this app. It wants you to crop all your images to phone screen size. Most images I have are not set to that format and I don’t want to change them. Please allow us to annotate on the existing image size and give us the option of cropping if we want to. Thanks. I love how simple it is to add arrows and text to photos. Still Much easier than the built in Apple tool in photos.

Deleted immediately - cryptic user interface
I used annotate to open a photo in my photo album. All I wanted to do was add text to the photo. The only option it offered was CROP. I want an app that has a menu system and not a bunch of cryptic user controls that I have to spend hours figuring out on my own.

Fun and Easy
This app was very friendly for a first time user. I appreciate the different features for adding notes and/or marking up text in an image. As a classroom teacher, I think this app would be an engaging tool for teaching annotating text to elementary aged students.
Easy tool!
As an educator, this tool just made annotating on photos, documents so much easier. I can easily use it to label and write directly on the page straight from my phone, thats my favorite part. However, I wish there was an eraser feature on the side tool bar that would allow me to change or clear any mistakes without deleting the whole product. Overall, amazing product that such makes life of an educator much easier to display and customize materials.

Great app!
This app is really easy to use. It’s very intuitive and can aid students in taking notes for class or doing classwork completely online without having to print out graphic organizers or worksheets. I would recommend this app to students and teachers of any grade level.

Portrait only? Wow. Color pallet is limited to 5 colors, no black, no white.
Not for videos
Says videos, not so much. Another line says photos & screenshots doesn’t mention videos. That’s the truth. Free isn’t always best.

Great class resource !!
This is a great tool to mark up work and use it in your classroom. You can easily screen shot student work and label model qualities to share with the class. This is also great for labeling parts for a social studies or a science exam easily!!

I loved this app! It was great to be able to annotate from my phone. I loved leaving little reminders for myself too! I would use this when reviewing articles or long stories, maybe even specific directions!
Broken and useless now
Welcome to the giddy world of apps not updating with iOS.
Using iOS 13.6 on iPhone6S, it’s still possible to use the primitive annotation tools, but impossible to save the annotated image. There are two options:
Export (pop-up which doesn’t fully pop-up; then freezes nothing is now possible except pressing the Home Button and reloading Annotate, ad infinitum)
Back (option pop-up: Discard or Cancel) which freezes and doesn’t respond to touching either option.
This App was always extremely basic.
It is now just a memory squatter.
Actually should get no stars, since it actually is non-functional, unless you count pressing HOME+POWER to obtain a screenshot of the annotated image cropped to iPhone screen size and res, with the Annotate Toolbar obscuring part of the annotated image. Apple should remove this App from their store if the Developers have no intention of keeping up with phone and iOS increments.
