Very Similar to Matlab

This language, Octave, is very similar to Matlab. I used to use my sister’s Matlab account while she was attending ATM university. But her account was going to expire since she finished school. I copy and pasted a program I made in Matlab to this app to see if it would work. The program was a simulation of a dice game called Toss Up. Took me just 133 lines of code to create. When I pasted it, it didn’t work. But I only had to tweak two different commands to make it work. So very similar to Matlab. There are a few differences tho. Not too long ago I wanted to make a polar histogram and realized that Octave doesn’t have a command for that like Matlab. So Octave has a few less features than Matlab, but it’s extremely similar. If you know Matlab you know Octave and visa versa. Really love this app. I even bought the desktop version as well

Excellent App

Customer support is on point. I pointed out a minor bug, they responded that day asking for additional information and the bug was corrected in an update by the very next day. Can’t beat that.

Free version pretty good, no Ads, works

Enables me to get to grips with Matlab style apps.

Excellent calculator

There are so many features in the majority of calculators that are locked behind paywalls or simply missing, like implicit graphs, step functions, high resolution 3D graphs, and the like. With this app, I can graph anything I like with any settings I like, wherever I like. I can even make custom graphs like color-coded density maps.

(Familiarity with MATLAB or OCTAVE syntax is a fairly major prerequisite, but I feel like most technical majors probably cover it in Freshman/Sophomore year of College)

Truly impressive. A lot of potential is present

Although I have not spent a lot of time using the application, I can say that it is a very convenient tool to have whenever an idea comes up. I believe there is a lot of potential for such an app. Good job 👍

Uploads everything

Nothing is done on-device. The app simply uploads code to a server where it is executed and the result downloaded. Not very useful for road warriors. Needs constant internet connection.

Very good

Output font so small in iPhone XR that is almost invisible

Very Well Done

Easy to use app, uses hardly any space, simple navigation system capable of use as soon as you open the app. Easy to use features allowing you to write and run code quickly and easily, exactly as you would on a laptop.

Good and Free

I like the Octave editor because it is much like matlab and free.
