Nothing in life is free

You can't start a private chat without variable amounts of 'karma' but it seems you can only build 'karma' by 'texting' other members or sending them pictures. Unless you BUY 'karma' of course! So it seems that unless you pay for 'karma' the app is effectively useless. 'Karma' is supposed to reflect your 'social standing' but if you can buy it, how can it genuinely represent social standing (aka complying with the 'rules'). You can earn a few 'karma' points when you first join by completing 'tasks' set by a chatbot but the total points earned in this way fall short of the minimum to start a private chat. The experience for 'newbies' quickly becomes very boring and frustrating. Yes, the developers need to make money (why else would they create an app!) but it seems to me that 'karma' is simply a device for generating revenue for the developers and does not necessarily provide any assurance of anyone's good character.

I’m leaving this app

I’ve been a user since 2017, and all the negative reviews are true. The environment of this app is extremely toxic, there’s abuse of power, users are extremely volatile, and there’s very little recourse. The “banning” system is a joke, where bad actors receive a slap on the wrist, but innocent users can be “reported” when they have committed no offense. If another user dislikes you, they can just report you for any offense and have you banned and stripped of karma. Offenses are all treated the same, regardless if it’s something very minor or really bad. It should be more of a tiered system instead of a one size fits all. There’s a major problem with bots flooding the system. There’s definitely some very sick people on the app, many who lean into age play that is pedophilic. It’s disgusting, and this app has gotten in big trouble with having underage users and grown adults engaging in inappropriate interactions. It continues to happen. Men harass women constantly and send very scary, intense, inappropriate messages. Your images will be stolen and posted elsewhere. Just stay away from this app. The people on here are sad losers…as the saying goes, misery enjoys company. The developers have rolled out all these ridiculous new features, but they refuse to fix the actual problems users continue to complain about. Good riddance to this app.

I have been using it for almost a year

I had been using it for almost a year and lately, after getting to a reasonable 16k karma I was sent to the prison group for breaking the rules.
I discovered this was “personal data” related and knowing the conversations I had had both via dms and groups knew I had not done this and somehow something automated had caused this.
You get half your karma back if you chat in prison enough (to depraved people for the most part) and when I did I attempted to appeal the karma loss as, when in prison I had had the only channel for an appeal ignored and I was blocked by the person.
The moderator understood my frustration but couldn’t do anything to retrieve my karma.
I was just now banned again when all I was doing was chatting about South American food.
There is nobody to appeal to at all so I am now done with this ridiculous app that is a great idea but executed terribly.
I only chatted about wholesome subjects and witnessed blatant racism, antisemitism, homophobia on the app going entirely unchecked by users in groups en masse and yet, it is me that is banned.
If measured in any sense the way other businesses are this place would receive 1/10 for customer service.

M M mod is corrupt dishonest unprofessional

This app does not work at all anymore for example random chat never works can’t find people online to talk to like many others said this app was nice with new nice friendly people to talk to all over the world years ago but many people have given up with this app and stopped coming it’s just same people who are toxic angry rude looking for drama catfishes and fakes coming on new accounts daily mods like m m ! Is very unprofessional mod he just sits there and lurks power has gone to his small head I’ve seen hundreds of middle aged men ask for underage girls this mod does not care about pedos I’ve heard from many other users some of these mods allow pedo behaviour because they are pedos themselves he bans people who don’t swear or insult others some of these mods need actual job in real life or find professional mods who don’t think with their hearts but with their small brains why else is this app on its dying days were nothing works and no new nice people coming no one bothers with this corrupt dodgy app run by unprofessional mods like m m

Used to be Great

Honestly used to be fantastic but now the censorship is beyond a joke and you cant even say words or abbreviations that are innocent plus however the banning works is a broken mess (banned for illegal sales when using a $ in a provate chat about fines) and the appeal system is a waste of time even if you are innocent.

The framework is still there for it to be a great place but over the top censorship and control is holdingbit back. Doesnt need to be lawless but freedom is not what you get on this “anon” app.

Not worth it

This app used to be good, recently it seems to be toxic and the mods are just abusing their powers. For an app that puts buzz words in their description, this is very much not an app that supports any adult enjoyment. There are minors on the app which shouldn’t be allowed according to the app rules. Women can share everything they wish but males are banned from rooms instantly. The app was so good in the past but now it seems like the karma you gain is lost to try and exploit people into buying it with real money as most rooms have a karma requirement to chat which you can’t get without gifts, which you can’t get without karma… you see where this is going. To top it off the app moderators message you after prison to ask for 5 start reviews because of the number of low start reviews. If I could give 0 stars I would

A few months ago I got this app cause I was looking for some people to talk to, my expectations weren’t that high when I first saw this app, however I can say, after about 4 months of using the app, I think it’s absolutely amazing! It’s so fun to be able to chat freely without worrying about anyone the worry of others judgements. Allot of other apps are full of people judging you on your looks and what not, but this app is really supportive and fun, definitely 5⭐️’s from me!

It’s popular to moan about little features and things that are not perfect about this app, but I see a lot of people from completely diverse geographies, age categories, life situations who find pleasure in connecting usually completely anonymously for all sorts of reasons. Hi, I’m jacksontheking, the moderators a amazing, they put hard work into the website and personally from my experience they are nice enough to build and keep an army if they wanted to, I would follow them with my life (not really tho) I have seen many messages of admins and moderators praising and giving karma points (in game currency) to people who report players to keep the environment safe and less toxic, there are many group chats you can have, you can also make your own, you can also have unfiltered chats, pms, and also global messaging, the ones I use are, Tennessee, newbies, anti-stress Chicago, and New York, and if you think you won’t be able to get the hang of it, your wrong there is a guy named snarky who will help you out the second you join!personally the atmosphere is super toxic, but every once and a while you meet sombody super nice! I like making and answering science questions on subjects like black holes, atoms and stuff like that. It’s a great website/app I enjoy on my late nights, and I hope you will to! Five stars. Fun app, Terrible execution

I guess saying good morning and asking people how their day is is a violation of the terms of the app as it constitutes sharing or asking for personal data. At least that’s what I’m being told by head App Mod Murr. That’s all that was said in different rooms and I was banned from chatting for 2 weeks. The app has become even more of a joke and isn’t worth the time for anyone to try to even use it anymore.

Just another issue to report after another failed update. I’m getting spammed with alerts for new messages in a chat room I’m not even part of. I’ve turned off group notifications and they are still sent. The developers of this app have no clue what they are doing and obviously don’t do testing before making an update live. Not sure how such a poorly executed app still has people using it. Its a joke that they believe they are better than other options. Liked the app at first. But the past week has been plagued by constant bugginess and lag. Been stuck trying to load messages for over 10 minutes. Waste of time. Constant lag loading messages makes this a terrible chat tool. Learn to properly manage your servers. Can’t even send a message for the last hour. Talk about poor performance and support!

There is no limit on how many times you can message in the groups. It’s on a karma based system were the more you message the more you get! But if you brake the rules then you lose karma, but hit 0 and you can still message in chats to gain more without paying!

I struggle to interact with people let alone to make any friends anywhere. Wether face to face or on the big social media platforms but with this app it’s made talking to people so simple for me and I’ve only just had the app for 2 hours and have made countless friends. Amazing

As someone who doesn’t have a lot of self confidence, and I struggle to find things to keep me entertained. But when I came across this app, it really helped to boost my confidence and I’ve met hundreds of amazing and encouraging people on there. It’s nice to have a chat with people from all over the world and get to know them all while staying completely anonymous. It keeps me entertained for the day and I’m happy to say that I’ve made friends with loads of people who I’ve kept in contact with over other apps as well.
