SCAM

Do not download if you actually want help with your homework because every time you try to take a picture of a question or speak to the AI assistant, it asks you to pay a ridiculously large amount of money. I only downloaded this app because ChatGPT wanted me to upgrade to ChatGPT plus and that was also expensive so if you guys have any suggestions on what FREE apps I should use please tell me

Least User Friendly AI

Great for answering questions and (sometimes) listening to lectures/taking notes. Most of the “features” do not work or are impossible to access.

The platform is extremely disorganized, and the mobile app does not even connect to the same account on the browser. Not worth paying for

Don’t get

If your looking for an app that can help you with homework, this one isn’t it. I say this because most of the time I use it , it gets questions wrong like seriously fix the bugs cuz when I started to make this review all the others review is showing people with the same experience. This app made my grade just to a 85 to a 70% (no joke) they need to fix the bugs cuz all my other friends that has an app that works. So whoever is behind the screen reading pleased don’t wasted your time and to the develop I have two words for you…

Review

Honestly if you need help with some problems you can use other apps to help you. It sort of does a decent job at explaining but many times the answer is wrong. I crossed referenced with other apps and they had a different answer to what coursology had which was wrong. Honestly, if you need help or a way to break it down there are other apps that can help you for free. This app is not worth it.

Don’t buy!

Terrible app, lags, doesn’t work half the time. No refunds. I wanted to try it for a month to month bases and it only had the option to buy for the year. Cancelled and hope it doesn’t charge me next year I see a lot of other reviews that even after you cancel they still get charged.

Not worth it by far

Hate how it randomly closes the app and I lose all my progress, for almost $10 a week that should not be happening 🫤 canceling membership after day one, this is not worth that much money.

So far the app on my phone is good but using Coursology on my computer is a bit slow so right now I’m kind of regretting buying a full years worth because all the nooks and crannies are not well developed yet. Maybe if I would’ve just done a month it would’ve been worth it.

Frequent incorrect answers

I recently switched from ChatGPT Plus to Coursology in hopes that I would be able to utilize more of the study features it offers. However, after using it for 3 different courses for over a month I’m highly disappointed by how frequently it gives incorrect answers. Not worth the money given the inconsistency of answers.

No refund

If you’re thinking about using this app, don’t. This app feels like a complete scam. They charge you without sending any email confirmation or transaction bill. When you try to cancel, they make the process intentionally confusing. The “Cancel” button is tiny and looks like normal text, while the big, highlighted “View” option tricks you into clicking it—which ends up switching you to a yearly plan costing almost $150.
Even if you cancel the subscription and delete your account immediately after realizing the mistake, they still charge you. When I contacted support, this is the response I got:
“We appreciate you reaching out to Coursology Support. Upon checking, you have successfully changed your plan to the yearly plan before cancelling and deleting the account. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds in accordance with Section 7 of our Terms of Use.”
So basically—good luck if you want to give them free money. Their system is designed to mislead users and make canceling as difficult as possible. I’m sharing this so others don’t fall for the same trap

I downloaded the app the charged me somehow and o don’t know how to get in touch with anyone to get my money back

Poor

Subscription does not cross over to laptop or other devices when purchased through the mobile app. Doesn’t create user profile that will log you back in, instead it takes you back to purchasing the free trial and won’t allow sign in. Other attempts to log in through a laptop only take you back to the bundle package purchase subscription page. Not worth the money at all. Will take your money but won’t apply purchased pro subscriptions, keeps user only using what’s accessible to free trial users. Worst experience.

Right now, Coursology subscriptions are linked to the platform where they were purchased (mobile vs. web), which can cause confusion when switching devices. Failed to grant pro permissions

I paid for pro and have confirmed on my Apple subscriptions tab that the subscription is in effect. However I do not have access to unlimited questions. I have agreed to pay for a service and coursology has failed to deliver

The App really didn’t work for me and when I reached out to cancel they refused to help me. They said they can’t cancel it from them and direct me to other places which says it has to be done from their end!!! They’ve been charging me for months so I’m going to report to BBB because this is not right!!! You are ripping off Customers. You can cancel out your membership’s but choose not to help Students!!! This is unacceptable
As I have previously advised Apple said it’s not through them it was through your website purchased and processed. They have nothing to do with it to be able to CANCEL!!!

Hard to cancel and will charge you

Customer service is awful, I finished school last year and cancelled, well they never cancelled it and charged me $150 buck when bills are due so now I’m screwed on bills

Update - MONTHS later they reached out - I had to have my bank block their charges. Awful company…. They also make it near impossible to cancel…. DO NOT RECOMMEND

CAREFUL!!!

While the app itself is really friendly and easy to use, be careful with how they bill. They say they’ll cancel anytime, which is true, I was easily able to cancel the subscription after 1 month of use. Just decided it wasn’t worth continuing to use. After it was cancelled, they still tried to bill me monthly at the $25 per month the following month, they tried 3 different times to bill that following month. Then silence, nothing happened, then about 6 months later, I received notice from my card provider that said they tried to bill me for the yearly plan which was $174.93! So now I’m back on their website making sure I didn’t miss anything, nope, it’s been cancelled and I’ve followed all their information provided, so it is cancelled, they’re just still trying to bill which is outrageous. So now I’ve escalated it to their support to make sure they don’t keep trying to bill me. Luckily I put this on a specific debit card intentionally where I minimally use it or carry a balance, so no money has actually been charged to said card, but still, if it was a debit card where I keep a balance, I’d have just gotten charged for this service which I cancelled and didn’t use. Honestly, do yourself a favor and don’t get lured into this trap, it’s not worth it. Cool app, not that cool to experience this.
