The Antibiotic Allergy Assessment presented on this app were developed by Centre for Antibiotic Allergy and Research clinicians from Austin Health, primarily for use within the inpatient wards of the Austin Hospital, Melbourne. They detail the initial assessment of an antibiotic allergy and provide links to previously published scoring and risk assessment allergy calculators. This Antibiotic Allergy Assessment guide were produced by staff of the Centre for Antibiotic Allergy and Research, Department of Infectious Diseases (Austin Health), often with input from subspecialist departments. The guidelines do no however represent the views of all clinicians of Austin Health. The Antibiotic Allergy Assessment guide was utilised in a randomised control trial by non-allergists with demonstratable safety. The recommendations contained in these guidelines do not indicate an excluse course of action, or severe as a standard of allergy care. Variations, taking individual circumstances into account, may be appropriate. This app is designed for doctors and health care professionals. It is not intended for use by patients or general public. Users of these guidelines are strongly recommended to confirm that the information contained within them, especially recommendations for testing and prescribing, is correct by way of independent sources.
