Wildly inaccurate
I scanned a ring I bought at a garage sale. The app listed it as “mid-century diamond and pearl cluster ring” worth $1150. It’s an Avon ring worth $25.
A glass cocktail ring worth $30-50 brand new? “Diamond and citrine ring” valued at $800
Some items were closer in price, but some were so ridiculously off as to make even a free trial too expensive.
Response from developer
We’re truly sorry for the frustrating experience with your garage sale finds. Identifying vintage and costume jewelry can be tricky, and it’s clear we missed the mark with those valuations. We’re actively optimizing our database to better distinguish between fine jewelry and costume pieces so this doesn’t happen again. We sincerely apologize for wasting your time and will keep working hard to improve. Our email: yag@gzyag.com
