Do not download this app if asked to by anyone over the course of a phone call.
I pride myself on being pretty sharpe at spotting a scam but I was nearly taken in today by an elaborate multi layered scam from an Indian call Centre group claiming to be from Amazon.
True enough - my Amazon account had been hacked and there was true enough, £4k worth of iPhones in my Amazon basket, and true enough the callers could name all of my past Amazon purchases/ returns from to w past month and could email me and text me verification codes seemingly from Amazon.co.uk bona fide accounts.
They genuinely spooked me and nearly- I say nearly -convinced me to download THIS app and give them my ‘compromised’ IP address too so that they could ‘solve ‘ the issue.
How kind… how considerate..
Then - finally- the penny droppped! I realised the Amazon hack was a red herring to panic me into giving them complete control of my device and every single password stored in my phone and every single aspect of my online existence!
I explained that I was insulted that they had nearly conned me. Swines. I politely asked them to give up their elaborate scamming of gullible, debt laden westerners and finest some honest gainful employment instead.
We parted amicably..
Swerve this app people. Stay safe. Avoid these elaborate scammers and confidence men..

Très mauvaise expérience avec AnyDesk. Les tarifs ont fortement augmenté au fil des années, et lorsque nous avons souhaité résilier, nous avons découvert qu’il fallait respecter un préavis qui nous oblige à payer une année supplémentaire alors que nous n’avons plus l’utilité du service.
Le support est très difficile à joindre et, lorsqu’on obtient enfin une réponse, personne ne semble pouvoir apporter de solution ou faire preuve de souplesse.
Cette politique commerciale donne le sentiment que l’entreprise cherche à retenir ses clients contre leur gré plutôt qu’à les satisfaire. Je ne recommande pas cette entreprise.

Tried calling a line for instagram support my account is under lock and is probably hacked. The number I called online it was a man telling me that my instagram account had been accessed in multiple states and countries and saying I needed to download this app. I asked if there was any other way. He said no. It sounded convincing at first but then he asked me “Are you going to download the app or not” I said no he said “you can hang up the call then” and was mad because he couldn’t scam me. Anyway don’t use this app

Charging for longer sessions now?
This app was great but now they’re trying to push you toward a subscription based model. Very annoying and bad practice considering it uses your own network/data. Great way to ruin an otherwise perfectly good app.

Be careful - I had someone call saying they are from Amazon and wanted me to download this app to block the user who is frauding my Amazon account! Be careful if people call and request this download - it shares your screen and gives them access
