Great App! Well done ANZ

I’ve banked with a number of different banks over the years, and ANZ Plus has been one of the best digital banking experiences I’ve had.

The app is incredibly fast, intuitive and reliable. I was able to open my account and be fully set up in under 10 minutes.

One thing many people seem to misunderstand is that ANZ Plus isn’t simply a replacement for the standard ANZ banking app. It’s a separate, digital-first banking platform designed primarily for everyday banking and savings. If you need traditional banking services such as in-branch support, certain credit cards, loans or other legacy banking products, you’ll still want to use the regular ANZ app and banking platform.

If you’re comfortable managing your finances through your phone, ANZ Plus is excellent. The app is clean, responsive and includes useful money management features without feeling cluttered. For anyone who prefers a modern, app-first banking experience, I’d highly recommend giving it a try.

Looking forward to seeing what other updates and improvements come within this app!

Insanely good.

Only one small gripe, please just make the app compatible with Apple dark mode.

IconDark mode needed

Can you guys re-enable the dark mode icon? On the homescreen it used to be a option, but now its still the bright blue. Might be a bug that needs fixing. Other than that! Great app. My main banking app

A Very Disappointing Banking Experience

My experience with ANZ Plus has been extremely disappointing.
I cannot rely on ANZ Plus for something as important as an international payment. My transfer was held for 21 days due to ANZ’s internal verification process, despite repeated follow-ups from my side and the urgent nature of the payment.
This delay put my university enrolment at serious risk. After 21 days, the only outcome was that my money was returned to my account instead of the payment being completed. This does not demonstrate reliable banking or an efficient payment service.
A bank should be able to fulfil its own payment commitments or, at the very least, communicate clearly and resolve issues promptly. Unfortunately, ANZ Plus failed on both counts.
I expected a modern digital bank to provide fast and dependable international transfers. Instead, I experienced poor communication, repeated delays, and a process that only moved forward because I continuously chased updates myself.
Based on this experience, I have lost confidence in ANZ Plus and would not trust it for important international payments in the future.

Can’t access the app after update

Since I updated the app, I can’t access to it!! That’s terrible.

Very poor

Not at all impressed. You open this App & ANZ give you 2 Ac’s you never asked for but not the Ac you did set up. To then try & get that Ac so you can see it in the App is a process of online links to help pages that give you 404 messages. Clearly no one senior outside of the IT Dept that wrote the App & understand its details has ever done a Cold Start themselves. They would send this abysmal joke of an App back into development to fix it!

Disappointed

I have been attempting to contact some from ANZ for nearly 2 weeks via message & email & no response. The app is useless in terms of accessing support

Customization

The overall app is pretty good, but maybe some customization options like wallpapers, being able to change account names to “expenses” or what ever else.

Needs Integration

Great app with modern and interactive UI. I used ANZ Plus and ANZ Growth Saver prior to getting a home loan. As my ANZ Home Loan and ANZ One is available on the ANZ Classic app only, I’ve had to switch back and stopped using the ANZ Plus app. Would give 5 stars if I can transact with these facilities under the ANZ Plus app for its UI, spending tracker and reduce number of overall accounts.

Record breaking app!

This app breaks records in being the most updating app in the history of apps. There’s an update nearly every second day, almost the same rate that ANZ shuts down their branches. This isn’t a good look and implies the app is full of bugs and is insecure. Get real ANZ.

The Worst bank

Just took my money and closed my account. Support service raise their voices and do nothing to solve a problem .

Almost there

Would have rated 5 if it could show ANZ term deposits. Seems odd that not all ANZ accounts are eligible to manage through this one app.

good banking app although NEEDS to have a personalized feature so we can name our accounts

Lots of potential

The app is easy to use, from opening accounts to operating them.

There are a few improvement I’d like to see.
1. The ability to name accounts (I have 2 everyday, one for spend one for bills, without the ability to name them it’s easy to get them mixed up).
2. Upcoming expenses is very useful, but it doesn’t include recurring scheduled payments.
3. The categorisation is great but would be improved by remembering what recurring payments have been categorised as previously.

Blocked my account for receiving my income

I gave my ANZ plus account to one of my clients and they sent me the payment which I transferred to my other account and they just blocked my account. Not recommended

Amazing support and lightning-fast resolution!

I had a frustrating dispute with a merchant who charged me after I cancelled my service. I used the ANZ Plus dispute tool, and the team returned my $73.20 the next day!

It is so refreshing to use a bank that actually feels 'human' and values my time.

5 stars for making a stressful situation so easy to resolve!

Cannot Rename Accounts - Otherwise nice banking solution

I have found the app easy to use and the accounts available are suitable for my banking needs.

Dev team: please ENABLE THE ABILITY TO RENAME MY ACCOUNTS. Or give them a nickname. It would make it so much easier to identify the purpose of each account I have set up.

Glitchy and slow!!!

Love the app when it first came out. But now it’s extremely slow. Takes ages to connect to internet, refresh and transferring.
Have considered changing banks due to these facts. App is updated and doesn’t make any difference.

No multiple devices support - why?

ANZ Plus looks modern and works well, but I genuinely don’t understand why it only allows one device at a time. If I sign in on my iPad, my iPhone gets kicked off, and vice versa. Most people use both a phone and a tablet daily - being forced to pick one is ridiculous in 2026.
Every other major bank in Australia supports multiple devices. Please fix this. It’s the single biggest reason I’m hesitant to fully switch from regular ANZ.
