The hands-on-screen approach with this one guarantees its distinctiveness, and the broad feature set - including its sampler and dynamics control - makes special results (from sublime to ridiculous) easy to achieve with some patient massaging. Familiarity with either spectral processing or Apesoft products will speed the orientation process. Best to read the documentation in any case, since noisy results can follow poking and prodding the app without understanding what it does.
