About

Apex Dash turns your iPhone or iPad into the steering wheel display of your racing game. Your game already sends everything the car is doing over Wi-Fi, sixty times a second. Apex Dash listens to it and draws it the way a real wheel display would: revs, gear, speed, tyre and brake temperatures, lap times and how far ahead or behind your best lap you are. Prop the phone up in front of you and drive. SIX DASHBOARDS • Realistic - a real wheel LCD in a bezel, with rev LEDs and FIA flag lights • Broadcast - the TV graphics halo: speed dial, overtake, recharge and deploy • Dot Matrix - a wheel LCD where every shape resolves into LED dots • Modern - clean and high contrast • Game - the in-cockpit display • Cluster - three analogue dials in a machined metal housing Swipe to change dashboard, tap to go full screen. LIVE ON TRACK • 15 LED rev strip and a shift flash, with an optional flash of the phone's LED • Gear, speed, RPM, throttle and brake • Tyre surface, inner and brake temperatures, colour coded • Live delta to your best lap, gap to the car ahead, sector times in purple, green and yellow • Start lights, FIA flags, invalid lap and pit limiter • Overtake and active aero, or DRS, depending on the game EVERY LAP, RECORDED Each completed lap is saved twenty times a second. Open the address the app shows in any browser on the same Wi-Fi and study it properly: track map coloured by speed, pedals or sectors, a time delta against another lap, speed, throttle, brake, gear, steering, lateral G and battery traces, and a corner table with brake points and entry, apex and exit speeds. The page is served by the phone itself. Your laps never leave your network. NO GAME HANDY? Turn on Demo drive in Settings. A simulated car laps a circuit so you can see everything working before you set up the game. WORKS WITH EA SPORTS F1® 26 and F1® 25 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. In the game, open Settings › Telemetry, turn UDP Telemetry on, leave Broadcast Mode off, and enter the IP address and port the app shows you. FREE AND OPEN SOURCE No ads, no accounts, no analytics, no subscriptions. The full source code is on GitHub under the GPLv3 licence, and new games, dashboards and languages arrive through contributions. A note on flashing lights: the shift warning flashes the screen quickly, and can flash the phone's LED. The LED is off by default and a warning is shown before first use. If you are sensitive to flashing light, leave both off. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Formula One, the FIA, Electronic Arts or Codemasters. F1 and Formula 1 are trademarks of Formula One Licensing B.V., used here only to say which games this app reads telemetry from.
