Needs Landscape Mode

Works well, but needs landscape mode for better display on screen.

Brilliant

Great for all ages and easy to use
Take no time to start up and more than happy to download..

Also doesn’t drain battery

Crashes constantly

Sadly can’t open this without it crashing 😔

Rubbish

Very fiddly product DONT RECOMEND

App crashes often

Great concept but the app crashes often, particularly when trying to upload images of custom tracks. The built in catalogue could also be more comprehensive. All in all good fun though and does add to the game experience.

iPhone 6

App won't start up on iPhone 6

Black icon iPhone 7 plus?

Haven't used this for a while latest update made start icon black?

Shocking

An appalling application that appears to allow the user one race before informing them that they cannot access the function. Trading standards have been informed as this product does not perform as advertised. There are a surfeit of adjectives that describe this product, mostly four letters in length. You have let down a very young boy. You have let yourselves down. Anticipate me.

less than okay with lots of window dressing

Latest update doesn't work on the iphone se. On the older iphone, the app is the same, no noticeable improvements. I was expecting trackable stats related to cars, drivers and courses. You are basically getting a really simple lap counter and countdown timer for each lane. The pit stop gaming is okay. Email stats don't work. tracking inventory is worthless. be prepared to break out paper on race night. also a fair number of the buttons that look like features of the system actually do nothing, kind of like exhaust pipes on a slot car. window dressing

Doesn't work on iPad Air

Unable to add items to collection with green plus buttons, so cannot calibrate cars or race, leaving you with an expensive set you cannot use. Scalextric really needs to get this sorted as I can imagine a lot of upset people and children after xmas.

I don't know what the fuss is about

The app works great and is lots of fun for the kids

Doesn't work on iPad 2 with iOS 9

Bought a Scalextric set as a Christmas present on the basis that the technical specs state that the app is compatible with an iPad 2 with iOS 5 or above. Wrong! Spoke to someone at Scalextric who claimed not to know about the problem and could offer no solution. Promised to investigate further but I don't suppose I'll hear back. Likely to have disappointed children on Christmas Day. Scalextric should not be marketing a whole range of racing sets to the trusting public until they have things like this sorted out and can meet their own stated technical specifications.

Can't add additional track

In "My Garage" you can add additional items to reflect your collection of scalextric items but you can't add them using the Green plus signs?!
Come on Hornby sort it out please Christmas is around the corner and there will some disappointed kids.

Not working.

Installed the app on my iPhone 6. No problems!
Set up the track, driver, mode, green light for connection etc. Easy peasy.
"Start" is greyed out so cannot use it.
This is an iPhone for gods sake it's hardly obscure.

Not working

Not working on my iPhone 6s

Not a bad start

Got the basic arc set and did some track expansion on it. I found it was easy to use the app, however there is a lot of limited functionality such as all race modes are basically the same modes with different settings. For example practice mode and Grand Prix all track a minimum of two cars with a set lap count.

It would be helpful if the app saved lap times for different cars which it currently does not.

One good thing is perfect connectivity and no app crashes. Solid start but looking for more

The must have features work, and that's it.

And that should be satisfying, but it isn't. Because the ARC race sets are sold with all the hoopla of the app enhancing the Racing experience but so far some non essential features don't work. I'm not talking about the features for air and pro. On arc one that is normal, perfectly okay for some features to be grayed out. I'll explain after I mention what works. Timing and lap counter works as does Grand Prix and tournament modes with qualifying race and heats. Adding driver names, helmet colors, and car pics also work with catalog cars or custom pics of cars if desired (make your pic small in kbyte size for success). Solo practice doesn't work, but you can just add two and race one with standard finish so the race ends when you cross the finish line. Adding your stock materials doesn't work. Car speed works correct if you pick a track set that's stock or with scalextric's extension sets. You can't add an x amount of track pieces to represent your customized set. Various glitches happen making it cumbersome to get the app to work requiring a certain order of starting the app and blue tooth or need to uninstall and reinstall. So the app isn't polished and arc one and air are already out. Considering the many more features for pro, you got to wonder if it'll be ready and would it be wise to buy Pro without solid confirmation that the app works well.

How About A Do-Over?

This software has so much potential, but it's getting worse rather than better! I have never been able to output stats to anything and now, races never finish. If this is because I have the first ARC system, then maybe I should have gone with a different manufacturer.

Will not download on the iPad 2

Disappointed that this App is not compatible with iPad 2.
I will not download

Crashes

Calibrating the pace car crashes the app. Poor stuff, obvious bug. How about a track editor too?
