I swear, some Apple apps are sooo bad (MAPS!) but some of them are reeeeally good! Like this one! The paid stuff is great but *this is really good even free*!!!!

Hard to navigate
Are back/forward buttons or a history too much to ask? I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve clicked an interesting link on my phone’s home screen, realized in the time it took the new article to load that I was still in the middle of of an article, tried to swipe back to the previous article only to find myself on the Apple News Home Screen, unable to get back to the article I had been reading or the new article I was interested in, which helpfully vanished from the Apple News widget as soon as I touched it. Then I usually give up in frustration and never read either article.

Apple News provides excellent coverage of my favourite topics, including psychology, financial education, cars, and the latest news from around the world. I also appreciate the access to a large selection of high-quality magazines, all conveniently available in one app.
The content is well curated, easy to browse, and regularly updated. It has become my go-to source for both staying informed and expanding my knowledge.
My only suggestion for improvement would be broader access to Bloomberg articles. Having more Bloomberg content available within Apple News would make the service even more valuable for readers interested in business, markets, and global finance.
Overall, it's an excellent subscription and offers great value for anyone who enjoys quality journalism and diverse reading options.

Stop wasting my time
If I don’t have a subscription to certain articles, stop highlighting the stories in my main feed. I’m NEVER going to be impulsed to sign up for those subscriptions
Why send me news I can’t access
Seems pointless that you want me to rate news stories I can’t access. All I get is the click bait tittles and then can’t read articles. Don’t waste peoples time
Plenty of Info.
Basically watching less television including commercial news programs & although I don’t subscribe to anything (probably would if had more $) the amount of diversity in topics is great. To environmental, political, people, health & more gives an idea of what’s going on all over the planet.

What Happened?
Use to a good news app but has gone downhill the last few years
Bugs are ruining this app
The only objective this app has is to be readable. Why does the text keep shifting around as I scroll through the article? To make more room for terrible ads? Cancelling my subscription

Apple: Please BRING BACK LANDSCAPE mode option for reading articles and viewing images in them!!
By eliminating the landscape mode option and the capacity to seamlessly switch to and from it simply by turning one's phone, Apple has succeeded, unreasonably, at making its and at least several other firms' apps LESS disability accessible than they had been in the past.
That's a needless violation of the law in several countries, including the USA, by Apple. If Apple and other app developers don't promptly update their apps to allow users the option of vertical AND landscape mode, and easy flipping between those modes by simply reorienting one's device (with ability to lock into a given mode/orientation), Apple, et al will be inviting legal action under
the ADA and other laws in US and other countries where it does business. The described reduction of accessibility in apps would also be counter to certain of its own stated ethics and, possibly, turn customers away from investing in iPhones and iPads and the apps and accessories used with them.

Alr so…
I like it a lot but one downside for me is that I don’t like it when all of the news shows up randomly and not to your taste or not exactly to your taste of what your looking for at all. Other than that it’s solid if you want to learn something new.
Awesome app in my opinion
Great app for keeping up with what’s going on in the world without having to turn a tv on and find the news channels and also you get to pick what you want to show up overall great app
