LOVED the app shopper app. Was wondering what happened to the emails updating my wants list for price drops. Then I notice it's a new app. So I figure I'll give it a try since the other was awesome. Didn't need the sharing part. Can get past that. But this version is AWFUL!!!! I still have the old one on my phone but they no longer send emails notifying you of price changes. Don't like the new one so I guess i'll see if its possible to find a replacement.

This has been a daily-visit app for years for me; it's actually the main reason I haven't updated so far...
The dev may have moved on to other projects- if you see this, please see if someone else will update this app if possible! It's been a rock through many updates, I'd hate to let it go.

Best app of its kind except...
This is the best app of its kind except apple does not accept new updates do to is policy that no app should be similar to the App Store in any way. It's apple and not this developer that we don't see this app updated. Come on Apple allow developers to do their work!!!

Please, please, please, please, PLEEEEEEEEASE update this to 64-bit! Using your website on my phone is nowhere near as fast, flexible, or easy as using this fantastic, dedicated app. (Would it help if the users donated? If they're long-time, thankful users like me, I'm sure they'd be happy to!)
Update to match website style
Your website is beautiful and up to date with current design trends. I just got an alert on 10.3 saying this app will not function with future versions of iOS, so please update! I've checked this everyday for years, so I'd hate to lose it
Useful, but terribly outdated
I find this website's services to be invaluable, however to get full use out of your wishlist and price drops you need the app. However, the developers have not cared enough to update it since 2013.. and the last update was a horrible mess. They never even bothered to make a GUI update for the iPad. The pitiful mess we are left with is a monstrous necessity. Very disappointing, considering it'd be well worth a few bucks to get.

Still works, needs an update
iOS 10.1 now warns that this app will slow down your phone. iOS 10.0 introduced render errors (badges within the app show numbers now but not the red circle)
AppShopper remains an invaluable tool for tracking prices and finding deals. It works, but not very well. We really need an update!

I wish for a universal update...
Like others I prefer the previous version and have been stubbornly clinging to it the last couple of years. This morning however it could not load my wish list and I suspect something changed on the server side that broke it for good... If the developers read these comments, please create a universal version of the current app. I have a lot of time invested I. Building that wish list and have loved this app greatly over the years. I don't know how you monetize, but if additional payment would be required then I would certainly consider that fair as this app has saved me large amounts of money.

Changing the category and price ranking and then setting them back caused my wish list to finally load in the older (iPad optimized) version... So once again it crawled from the grave and kept chugging along, but for how long?

Still the best, but needs an update
This app still has more tracking features than the other apps out there, but needs a update badly.
The interface still has not been optimized for the larger iphone 6+ models, and the UI still has the old iOS styling from over 2 years ago.
But even though the UI is outdated, the feature set is still the best out there.

Worse than useless now
The social version of appshopper is a useless scam to collect marketing data from you and anyone you're friends with.
That might be acceptable if there was any ability to browse app releases and updates at all. There is no ability to do this beyond what the app store does already.
I had been using the original appshopper for years, but after upgrading phones, even with a FULL local backup, it only saved my application data; my apps had to be reinstalled from the cloud, and since the useful appshopper version is gone, I can never use it again.
Don't waste time on these clowns.

iOS 9 update?
This is still my favorite app for monitoring, well, my apps! Easy to use with quick notices and a website to boot!
The only thing is the year digits on app history is broken with just dots now. :( other than that you can't go wrong with this program.

Why no iPad version?
I love this app and use it all the time to save money on my out-of-control app buying habit. The only thing that would make it better for me is native iPad support. Sure, I can run the iPhone version on my iPad, but the experience is pretty terrible. I'm not a developer, but is it really that hard to make a version that looks decent on iPad? At this point I'd be happy if the the screen would just rotate to landscape view while using the app.

Use to be My Fav Deal Finder
I (like others) prefer the old version, but someone thought we cared what our friends were buying? I'd have preferred more features, like adding Mac app support, but that's just me.
However the biggest reason that this great app isn't being used by me anymore, is that there is no universal app. What moron develops an app and makes it iPhone only? Well I'm not using a bunch of different apps as I move from device to device...I'll instead reward the company that best meets my total needs, and that is no longer AppShopper. (If you only use an iPhone, it's still one of the best deal finders.)

Great for keeping track of Apps you own and are interested in
This is a great app, but the original is even better. What can we do to help convince Apple to allow you to bring back the original, so that others who don't already have it can enjoy it?
More needed
Nice to have AppShopper back but there is a lot missing from this app. As others have said.. needs iPad version, let us have more control over Wish List & My Apps (tags, categories, something, save custom searches, keywords), fix search functions not to be so picky, fix social features -adding friends? Following others?

Best thing so far
So yes, the time for sales is like 5pm pst which is annoying but having all the sale apps right there in one app that is easy to use is awesome. There are a few others out there but this is always the first one I check and repeated come back.
Forget The Social
I have used the original AppShopper app for a long time and luckily I still have it because this new one is really horrible. You can forget being able to merely browse through all the apps well sorted by category and price; this version of the app only seems to be a way to share recommendations with friends and see what they like. Not useful for general Store shopping IMO.
Take home message: if you've still got the original AppShopper, stick with that for browsing the Store. This one does not provide that valuable service.

Appshopper's usefulness is being eclipsed by AppZapp.

Aside from adding back iPad support, this app could benefit from the following:
1. I don't want a badge telling me when "My Apps" have a new update. The Apple AppStore app takes care of that just fine & the redundancy is annoying & it obfuscates the price drops by displaying a misleading app badge
2. Make it an option to remove "updates" from my Wish List stream. I understand that update alerts on wishlist apps could prove beneficial, for instance if your decision to purchase is contingent on a specific feature. Great, I understand, but PLEASE move it to a different place. It clutters the Wish List stream!
Until those issues are resolved, more people will just permanently switch to AppZapp

Best app shopping app period.
The iPad version is on its way! I paid to remove apps and would have gladly paid more $$$ because this app saves me so much money! Been using it for several years now and am patiently waiting for the new iPad version - I still have the old iPad version. 💕💞💕💞💕💞💕💞💕💞💕💞💕

Apps often jump up the charts in the App Store due to increased downloads when they are temporarily marked down. Sites like AppShopper track these as they happen. This app can also send a push message when an app you want drops in price so you can snap it up! This comes in handy if, say, the developer only sets the sale price for for a few hours.
