About

AprèsStory turns the runs, rides, hikes and days on snow already sitting in Apple Health into something you can watch. It finds the photographs you took while you were out, matches them to the activity by time and place, and plays the whole thing back as a story: the route developing in safelight amber over the real map, the distance and the pace climbing with it, your photographs in full colour. A darkroom, not a dashboard. WHAT IT DOES • Reads your workouts from Apple Health — the route, the time, the climb, the heart rate. It never writes anything back. • Matches the photographs and clips you took during an activity, straight from your library. It stores a reference to a photo, never a copy. • Plays each activity as a story you watch rather than a screen you read. • Shows your month as a calendar shaded by the sport you did and how far you went. • Sends a story to one person. They watch it in a browser — no app, no account, nothing to install. WHAT IT NEEDS Activities already recorded in Apple Health, by an Apple Watch or by another app. AprèsStory does not record workouts itself; it reads what is there and gives it back to you. WHAT LEAVES THE PHONE Nothing, until you send a story to somebody. Then the photographs and clips are encrypted on your own device before anything is uploaded, and the key travels in the part of the link that browsers never send to a server. The host holds bytes it cannot read. Everything is deleted after thirty days, and sooner if you unshare it. One object goes up unencrypted, because a link preview cannot work otherwise: a card carrying the sport, the date, the place, three numbers and a drawing of the route. Never a photograph. No account. No sign-up. No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. The privacy policy at apresstory.web.app/privacy is specific rather than reassuring, and names every place something leaves the device. Weather data provided by Apple Weather.
