Scammers

These people are scammers. Paid the 47.99 to unlock all the app features but it didn’t. There were other options to purchase. I requested a refund from Apple. No customer support. This app should not even be on the app store. All they do is steal your $$$

FAQ

What is APRS pro Deluxe?

APRS pro Deluxe is a mobile application for ham radio operators that allows them to receive and transmit Automatic Packet Reporting System (APRS) data. It offers a real-time map interface, communication features, and the ability to connect directly to a radio or use the internet via APRS-IS.

How does APRS pro Deluxe work with a radio?

The app includes a built-in 300/1200 baud TNC audiomodem. This allows you to optionally connect your iPhone directly to an HF or VHF radio to transmit and receive APRS data without needing cellular coverage.

Is APRS pro Deluxe free to use?

Receiving APRS data with APRS pro Deluxe is 100% free. Transmission (TX) functionality is a paid feature, indicating that while the core receiving capabilities are free, advanced features like transmitting require an in-app purchase.

What kind of information can I find with this app?

You can search for remote stations, local analogue and D-STAR repeaters, modes and frequencies, echolink nodes, ham swap events, ham fests, shops, and weather reports. The app also displays live traffic information on the map.

Can I use this app without a ham radio license?

The description strongly implies this app is for 'hams' (ham radio operators). While you can receive APRS data for free, transmitting and engaging in ham radio activities typically requires a license in most jurisdictions. Users should verify local regulations.
