APSIS Browser

APSIS is a web browser for iPhone and iPad that sorts your tabs into Spaces, shows up to four tabs at once, and doesn't collect data about you. An apsis is the point of an orbit nearest to, or farthest from, what it circles. SPACES Give work, home and reading each a Space of its own, with its own tabs, color, cookies, pinned tabs and folders. Favorites are shared across all Spaces. With Lotse, a site's links always open in the Space you assigned it to. KONSTELLATION Show up to four tabs at once: two streams, a video next to its chat, or an article beside your notes. On pages with a large video player, only the player is shown, while the rest of the page keeps running so a live chat stays connected. Only one pane plays sound; tap another to switch. Choose side by side, stacked or grid, or let Automatic pick the layout that shows widescreen video largest. KAPSEL Put a site in a Kapsel and its cookies, storage, caches and service workers belong to that site alone. Other sites, Spaces and Kapseln can't reach them. Unlike private browsing, you stay signed in. Useful for banking, work tools, or any site that should keep to itself. PRIVACY • No analytics and no telemetry. The app sends us nothing. • History, tabs and settings stay on your device. • Private browsing saves no history and deletes cookies and site data when you close the tabs. • Keep history for a day, a month or forever. Deleted entries are overwritten on disk. • Optional ad and tracker blocking with uBlock Origin's filter lists. Tracking parameters are always removed from links. • Search suggestions stay off until you turn them on. LAGEBERICHT Summarize a page or explain selected text with Apple Intelligence, on your device. Pages aren't uploaded, and nothing is sent to other AI services. COMMAND BAR One bar searches your open tabs and history, opens addresses and searches the web. Type "yt" and tap the suggestion to search YouTube directly, or use bangs like !w anywhere in a search. DuckDuckGo is the default; you can switch to Startpage, Brave Search, Ecosia, Qwant, Google, Bing or Kagi. MORE • Now Playing lists audio and video from your other tabs, with play and pause. • Flyby opens a link as a card over the current page. Close it, or turn it into a tab. • iCloud Sync brings your Spaces, pinned tabs, Favorites and settings to your other iPhone and iPad, through your own iCloud and end-to-end encrypted. • Built on WebKit, the engine behind Safari, so pages work as they do there and get Apple's security updates. IPHONE DUO AND IPAD On the iPhone Duo, the layout follows the fold. Folded, the page fills the screen and the controls sit in a strip beside it. Unfolded, Spaces and tabs move into a sidebar. iPad uses the same sidebar, with the controls at the bottom next to a centered address bar. Lagebericht requires a device with Apple Intelligence.
