A little aquarium on your iPhone.
Aqua Kurashi lets you watch and care for tropical fish and freshwater shrimp in a small planted tank. Start with three neon tetras and two shrimp. Feed them, change the water, and wipe algae from the front glass. With daily care, your fish grow to adulthood in about a week.
WATCH YOUR TANK
• Enjoy the tank in portrait or landscape. Pinch to look closely at a fish, or pull back to see the whole aquarium.
• The light changes between day and night. At night, the fish rest near the bottom.
• Turn the aquarium light on or off, or hide the controls in viewing mode.
• Add a quiet tank ambience made for earphones (on or off in Settings).
• The tank now sits in a gallery room. Seven pictures above it rotate with the day of the week; tap the picture to switch its light on or off.
CARE FOR YOUR FISH
• Tap the water to feed them. Uneaten food can cloud the water.
• Use a hose to drain about half the water, then refill the tank.
• Wipe algae from the front glass with your finger.
OBSERVE AND DISCOVER
• Choose a fish in Observe mode and the camera follows it as it swims.
• Capture a photo or video of 12 behaviors, including yawning, schooling, and shrimp grazing, to record them as discoveries. Each discovery keeps a short, two-second video in your journal.
• Save photos and videos of up to 30 seconds to your iPhone's Photos app.
• Explore an encyclopedia of the fish, shrimp, and ornaments in your aquarium.
GROW YOUR AQUARIUM
• Keep caring for your tank to unlock White Cloud Mountain Minnows (day 1), guppies (day 3), penguin tetras (day 7), black neon tetras (day 14), pristella tetras (day 21), and harlequin rasboras (day 30). Record discoveries to welcome zebra danios (4), cardinal tetras (7), and cherry barbs (10).
• Add rummy-nose tetras, a halfmoon betta, angelfish, discus, and a set of three fishing-cat ornaments with one-time in-app purchases.
• Own at least 26 fish, including those in the holding tank, to unlock a large planted tank with driftwood and room for up to 50 swimming fish. Shrimp do not count toward the unlock requirement.
• Once the large tank is unlocked, use “Switch tank” at the lower left to move between the standard and large tanks.
• Choose a place for each fish and shrimp: the standard tank, large tank or holding tank. Each one is in just one place, and the Tank screen shows the numbers in each.
