About
Aquscaper is a free aquascape design app for planning a planted aquarium before you buy anything for it. Drag and drop real plants and hardscape onto a virtual tank sized to match your own.
Set your tank to a real size, from a nano cube to a 75 gallon showpiece, and the canvas matches its proportions. Move plants and stone around as many times as it takes to get the aquascape right, before you spend a cent on the actual aquarium.
BUILD YOUR AQUASCAPE
Plant & Hardscape Library
Place stem plants, rosettes, rhizomes, carpets, mosses, and floating plants alongside rocks and driftwood. Over 120 species pulled from real aquascaping stock.
Real Species Art
Every plant and stone is vector art traced from an actual photo of that species, not generic clip art. Over 30 species carry more than one look, pick a different one from the palette before you place it.
Real Tank Sizes
Pick a preset from a 5 gallon nano to a 75 gallon showpiece, or enter your own dimensions. Every scape is drawn to the proportions of the tank you chose.
Layering & Attachment
Reorder items front to back, and pin an epiphyte plant to the rock or driftwood it grows on so the two move together.
Scatter Floaters
Drop a whole handful of floating plants across the surface at once instead of placing them one at a time.
Undo & Redo
Step back and forward through up to 50 changes while you work, so trying something out never costs you your last good layout.
YOUR AQUASCAPES
Give each scape its own background and substrate colors, and split it into named depth layers. Come back and keep refining it over weeks, the way a real planted tank actually gets built.
PLANS
Free keeps 3 scapes, with a starter set of plants and hardscape open on every one of them.
Unlock more scapes and additional plant and hardscape packs with low cost one-time purchases. No subscription, nothing that expires.
Aquscaper is for working out your aquascape before you commit money to the aquarium. See where the driftwood goes and whether the layout actually reads before you buy a single stem.
