The Great Arbor Catastrophe

Human history is filled with great tragedies. Empires have fallen. Libraries have burned. Civilizations have collapsed under the weight of their own ambition. Yet none of these ancient disasters quite prepare a student for the uniquely baffling experience of opening Arbor—the application specifically intended to let students access their timetables—only to discover that, somehow, it refuses to let them in.
This is not merely an inconvenience. It is an emotional expedition through the five stages of grief, compressed into approximately thirty seconds. Hope appears when the app icon is tapped. Denial arrives with the loading screen. Anger follows the error message. Bargaining begins with the twentieth attempt to log in. Acceptance eventually comes when one resigns themselves to wandering the school corridors like a medieval explorer searching for the mythical Kingdom of Maths.
Arbor is, in theory, an organizational masterpiece. In practice—at least on days when it decides to rebel—it possesses all the reliability of a chocolate teapot during a heatwave. It promises clarity, schedules, and structure. Instead, it occasionally offers cryptic messages, endless loading circles, and the growing suspicion that the timetable has entered another dimension.
Imagine preparing for school. You wish to know whether your first lesson is English, Physics, or perhaps Physical Education. This should be a question answered in seconds. Instead, Arbor transforms it into an interactive mystery novel. Every refresh is another chapter. Every login attempt is another plot twist. By the end, Sherlock Holmes himself would have given up and simply asked another student.
Of course, this is all tremendously unfair to the app's servers, which are undoubtedly working hard somewhere behind the scenes. But from the perspective of the average sleep-deprived student at 8:25 a.m., the distinction between "temporary technical issue" and "ancient curse placed upon educational software" becomes increasingly difficult to perceive.
Without access to a timetable, the modern student becomes a nomad. Hallways become deserts. Classrooms become hidden temples. Teachers become mysterious NPCs dispensing vague hints such as, "Shouldn't you be somewhere else?"
It is a remarkable achievement that a single missing timetable can produce such existential confusion. One moment you are a productive learner with purpose and direction. The next, you are standing outside the science block wondering whether you actually exist or whether you have become trapped inside a software bug.
To call this "slightly inconvenient" would be like describing a hurricane as "a bit windy." Hyperbole becomes not merely appropriate but practically mandatory.
And yet, despite all this theatrical misery, one must acknowledge reality: Arbor is simply a school management platform, and like any complex software, it occasionally has outages, bugs, or authentication problems. These moments can be deeply frustrating—especially when you're trying to find your timetable—but they are almost certainly the result of technical issues rather than a grand conspiracy against students.
Nevertheless, when you're late, confused, and staring at another login error, it is perfectly understandable if, for a brief moment, you feel as though the app has personally declared war on your morning.

Notifications

Its terrible i dont get notifications when homework is set

Worse than the Ebola crisis

Haven’t been able to log onto the app in over 6 months, when I’m in it didn’t tell me anything useful other than my timetable which has a worse UI than the holocaust. Not sure why this was ever invented as it makes me want to chop my arms off when using. 0 stars I do not recommend.

Dude, where is the bug reports

Sorry but idk how to report bugs but bruh i literally cannot access my timetable from my phone. I need to hop on my pc to find it 💔

Ridiculous

I was told to download by school, I hadn’t had to many problems but since the new update I’ve not been allowed in?! Terms and conditions, I click accept and then ERROR! I’ve not been able to see what lessons I have luckily I have a physical timetable. Fix it please

Edit. Was going great for a few months back to being weird but not letting me back in!

Why

Never seen an app work worse. An actual wind up

Honestly the worst app I’ve ever seen

They claim to be the number one most used student portal in the uk but that probably just because schools are cheap and this is the cheapest one . But hey you get what you pay for including no way to swipe off half the assignments even after you do them meaning I have 38 overdue marked assignments .also I currently can’t log in because my password no longer works due to stupid new update .also dont forget that 3/5 of the features they promise you just aren’t true. If you’re school switches to this rubbish then run for the hills, just try’na save another poor poor naive lil year seven that falls victim to this app’s nonsense grip.. adios mis amigos . And vous etes un verge- say that to your French or Spanish teacher and they will be AMAZED!!

Broken

The app was designed poorly. The navigation is confusing and terrible. I can’t tick of any of my tasks as the app is broken. I expected better from such a popular and well know service.

Bad

Bad

Cant log in

Our school used to use satchel one which was easy to navigate and actually worked. This app is by far the worst app ive ever used.you cant log in at all and ive only ever logged in once ( on the app). The one time i have logged in though, i could navigate anything and it pits on false behaviour. Not only that but i can’t submit any of my work so i have to wait for it to go overdue due ti sumbit.

If my headteacher is reading this please back to satchel one and for any other schools I definitely wouldn’t recommend.
