Firmware update is wonky

The app says a firmware update is needed, but it just loops endlessly.

But I rebooted the arc and the app gave the connect option very soon, so I connected as it was booting and that let me into the firmware updates.

A Timelapse slider app

It doesn’t even support controlling the Timelapse slider. Waste of time! As others have said, had for years and little support or updates to make this function for its intended purpose.

Firmware Won’t Install

App won’t control Arc II without a firmware update, and won’t update. Just sits on the screen with the progress indicator moving but after an hour, nothing but more progress indicator. I’m at a loss.

no longer supported as of jan 2024

app was never finished. it was the only way to update firmware on arc 2. what’s in it does work, but it’s a bit clumsy and it’s faster, easier, simpler to just control the hardware directly. hope they get some funds together and create a new v3 because we did pay for this app to work as part of hardware purchase.

Lack of support, non existent dev team

Hi Dev Team.

Look I hate giving bad reviews, but there something needed to be addressed. Why the lack of support? the lack of updates? mac support? I've made this list of pros and cons just for everyone to see.

Pros:
Not hard to use
Has auto tracking
app remote

Cons: (get ready)
- Lack of app updates (more than 1y ago)
- Lack of hardware updates
- Lack of support
- Arc randomly disconnects and moves by itself moving my camera out of the focus point (Also does this when turning it on)
- Payed 2k+ in products that were pretty much thrown away by the dev team
- No good customizability
- UI is just trash
- Major bugs and glitches
- no Updates logs so you don't even know what they fixed (Most likely nothing)
- used for almost 2 years had a whopping number of 1 update that did something. (It ruined the UI, and usability)

this just looks like a money grab and then leave all the customers in the dust with no support. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Spend your money elsewhere.
