About

Arca is a growing collection of word, puzzle and arcade games in one app — with no ads, no accounts and no subscription. New games arrive in updates, and one purchase covers every one of them. THE GAMES SO FAR • Quinque — a daily word. One five-letter word a day, six guesses, and the same word for everyone. Free. • Tabella — a letter grid. Find words in sixteen letters, against the clock or without one. Free. • Alvearium — a daily letter hive. Seven letters a day, and the centre one in every word. Premium. • Duplum — 2048. Slide the tiles; equal numbers merge and double. Reach 2048, then keep going. Premium. • Cautela — minesweeper. Clear the field without touching a mine; the numbers say how many are near. Premium. • Novem — sudoku. Fill the grid so that every row, column and box holds one to nine. Premium. • Vipera — snake. Swipe to steer, eat to grow, and don't run into yourself. Premium. • Captura — mancala. Sow your seeds round the board, capture what you can, and finish with more than the house. Premium. • Fragmen — a brick breaker. Keep the ball in play with the paddle and break every brick, level after level. Premium. • Lecta — a word search. Find every word hidden in the grid, from across and down to every way there is. Premium. The games take their names from Latin: five, a little board, a beehive, the double, caution, nine, a viper, a capture, a fragment, and picked out and read. Arca is a chest — the thing that holds them, with room for more. FREE • The daily Quinque and Tabella, in full — no ads and no blockers, ever • A day streak, and the trophies that go with it • Basic statistics • Light and dark, a colour-blind palette, reduce motion, and a standard font in place of the pixel type • One notification, and only if asked for: a note when the daily puzzles arrive ARCA PREMIUM — ONE PURCHASE, KEPT FOR GOOD • Every premium game — Alvearium, Duplum, Cautela, Novem, Vipera, Captura, Fragmen and Lecta today, and each new one as it arrives, at no further cost • The Quinque archive: every past daily puzzle, to play whenever • Trophies to earn in every game • Full statistics: streaks, bests, charts, and breakdowns by difficulty • Favourite games pinned to the top IN THE DETAIL • Quinque's marks are borders, not just colours, so they read in greyscale too. The new word arrives at midnight UTC — the same moment everywhere. • Alvearium's seven letters are the same for everyone and turn over at midnight UTC as well. Every past puzzle is in its archive, and every word scores, whether the puzzle asked for it or not. • Tabella has three difficulties and three clocks — 3:00, 1:30 or none. Swipe through the letters or tap them. Its word list holds over 178,000 words, in British and American spelling. • Cautela comes in three sizes, and the first tap is always safe. • Novem has three difficulties, notes and undo. A wrong digit is marked, but never ends the puzzle. • Vipera has three speeds, and walls that can be turned off so the board wraps instead. • Captura plays the house at three strengths — the harder it is, the further ahead it looks. Seeds are sown one at a time, so every turn can be followed. • Fragmen has three speeds. The first level is the whole wall; every one after it is laid out new each game, fuller and tougher as the levels climb. A track under the paddle gives a thumb somewhere to rest that doesn't hide it. • Lecta has three difficulties, from twelve words across and down to twenty hidden every way, backwards too. A word can be traced from either end. • Every game saves itself: leave at any point and carry on later. PRIVATE Arca collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no code from any other company. Games, statistics and trophies stay on the device. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. What's New in Arca

1.2

October 1, 2026

Introducing two new games! • Fragmen — bricks, a ball and a paddle. Keep the ball in play and break every brick; each level after the first is new, and a little tougher. • Lecta — a word search. Find every word hidden in the grid: across and down, and on harder puzzles diagonally and backwards. Both come with Premium: if you have it, they're already yours. Trophy maintenance: Open House and Full House now ask for all ten games — so if you'd earned them, they'll need earning again. And the rest: minor UI enhancements and bug fixes.
