Bug fixes: • The document scanner could freeze in landscape on iPhone – iPhone now stays in portrait so scanning works reliably. • Self-hosted Paperless servers over HTTP (including on your LAN or behind a reverse proxy) now connect. • The crash-report screen is fully usable again – reports can be submitted. • Fixed a crash when editing documents. • iPad: the AI model download button now appears correctly; devices without enough memory get a clear message instead of a blank screen. Die Grund Funktionen klappen alle gut. Scan ist schnell; Upload geht fix; Tags und Personen können live angelegt werden.

Für die KI Erkennung hatte ich die Hoffnung das sie mein bisheriges System respektiert.
Mein Namensschma ist immer yyyy-mm-dd_Title_mit_Wörtern. Dies wird nicht von der KI übernommen.
Wenn ich bereits eine Person habe (DHL, Schufa,…) wird die nicht unbedingt wieder verwendet sondern neue mit zb. DHL Paket GmbH erstellt.
Wenn dies irgendwann noch besser wird, ist es perfekt.

Danke fürs Feedback! Beide Wünsche sind bereits umgesetzt und kommen im nächsten Update: ein konfigurierbares Titel-Format (z. B. {date}_{correspondent}_{title} → 2026-07-07_DHL_Rechnung) und eine Option, mit der die KI bestehende Korrespondenten (DHL, Schufa …) wiederverwendet statt Duplikate anzulegen. Schon in einer Beta testbar. Freut mich, dass die Grundfunktionen gut laufen — danke!

Crash

Before purchasing it’d be helpful to know that: a 2.4GB download is required; have to use SSL/TLS even on local network; ‘suchen’ & ‘scannen’ even if English is chosen language; dates are day-month-year not month-day-year so you’ll correct every scan (in US); auto scan crops aggressively, so have to use manual; crashes when processing more than one scan (iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26.5); support is only if you have a GitHub account. Disappointed.

Thank you for the detailed feedback — these are fair points and several are already being worked on. HTTP/local network: a toggle for this exists in Settings → Security (and now also in the server setup screen as of v1.4.1 — sorry it wasn't visible during your setup). Date format: US date order (MM/DD) is on my list — I'll add it as a locale option. Model download size: I'll add this to the App Store description so it's clear upfront. Crashes with multiple scans: known issue, being fixed. Support without GitHub: noted — I'll add an alternative contact option. I'm sorry the experience fell short.

Hallo Schneppi, das tut mir wirklich leid — danke, dass du es meldest. Ich nehme Abstürze sehr ernst und will dir schnell helfen. Zwei Dinge, die meist sofort helfen: Falls du gerade von einer älteren Version aktualisiert hast: App einmal löschen und neu installieren — das behebt einen bekannten Update-Absturz. Deine Dokumente auf dem Server bleiben unberührt. Falls du das Beta-Feature „Fast AI" (Einstellungen → Erweitert) aktiviert hattest: bitte ausschalten. Hilft das nicht, würde ich dem Absturz gern direkt auf den Grund gehen — schreib mir bitte kurz über den „Feedback"-Button in der App (Einstellungen), idealerweise mit deinem iPhone-Modell. Ein Update mit weiteren Stabilitäts-Fixes ist außerdem schon unterwegs. Danke für deine Geduld — ich kümmere mich darum!

Thank you so much, really glad you're enjoying it! 🙏 Android is definitely on my radar — my current plan is to ship the feature-complete iOS version on June 1st, and then explore an Android port afterwards. I'll be honest though: I don't own an Android device myself, so that one will take some time to figure out properly. Stay tuned — I'll announce it here when there's news!
