Excellent
Last week, I found your app for iPhone. I now have dark circles under my eyes.
I can't watch it all at once but I am trying to with the vintage classic cartoons. (Some cartoon studios lost their copyrights for various reasons.)
The app itself is excellent. Its small size puts other streaming apps to shame.
The only improvement I can suggest is to reorganize the More menu for identifying serial episodes with a numerical index. For example, Spy Smasher (1942) series.
I am currently watching the Anderson's UFO (1969) series of 26 episodes at 50 minutes each. I am going by whatever default sort but only seeing file type and size. Sorting options would help. Even an artificial index would be an improvement.
I collected Buck Rogers (1939), and have a list of hundreds of vintage animations.
Pat Sullivan's Felix the Cat series, and Mutt & Jeff series.
Burt Gillett's Molly-Moo Cow series.
Ted Eshbaugh's Goofy Goat (1931) series, and The Abominable Snowman.
Harman & Ising's Bosko series from Looney Tunes.
Van Beuren's Cubby Bear series, and the original Tom & Jerry series (two optimistic guys during the Depression).
Max & Dave Fleischer's Betty Boop, Gabby, Superman series, Color Classics, Stone Age (origin of the Flintstones), and their Technicolor movies.
Claymation originator Joseph Sunn's Green Pastures (1926), Long Live the Bull! (1926), and The Penwiper (1926) are entertaining for young children, teens, and parents.
George Pal's Puppetoon series.
Captain Kangaroo's Adventures of Tom Terrific, and Adventures of Lariat Sam serials.
Harveytoons Baby Huey, and Little Audrey.
Thank you for making an easy-to-use app that instantly opens a wonderful world of cultural history.
Lastly, there is something called Open Archive certified public domain content that is used on the Heartland+ app, which also sources curated content from archive.org streaming.

Thank you for such a kind and in-depth review of our app! I’m going to look into each of your suggestions. I’m so glad you are enjoying the content and I hope you continue to find more treasures as I add even more functionality in the next few months!
Amazing app for classics

Incredible App!!! 5 STARS!!!!!

What a kind thing to say! I’m definitely not interested in ads (other than public domain commercials from the days of early television 😉). I hope you continue to find value and joy from the app.
I’ve always wanted this!
I’ve been wanting to make something like this for a long time. Before attempting to tackle this with AI (I have a life outside development lol) I figured I’d search again for something someone already made, and here it is. Thank you.

You are welcome! I’m so glad you found all the little features so helpful. Let me know if you want a particular feature added, as I’m always looking for fun things to try. Also, there is a “supercut” creator on the Mac version, if you want to give that a try. I enjoyed building that video editor too! Anyway, thanks again for your kind words.
A perfect way to explore vintage videos
Response from developer
I’m so glad you like it! Exploring these old movies, tv shows, and ephemera from my couch was exactly why I made the app. Happy streaming!
EXCELLENT!

I'm so glad you found the app and are enjoying the features! Please go ahead and send an email to ben@learningischange.com and I can get you set up on Testflight for beta features that will be coming to the app. I also take suggestions for new things you'd like to be able to do in Archive Watch. Happy streaming!
Broken

I’m so sorry to hear that you are having trouble playing on the latest build. The brand new version was just released on 08/28/2026. Stability (and customization of the video and captions) will be much improved! Thanks so much for the feedback!
