About

Six arrows in the same wrong place is a sight problem. Six arrows all over the face is not, and dialling the sight then only buries the real fault. Archora reads the whole group, gives you the correction in clicks when you have earned it, and refuses when you have not. The rest is honest recurve shooting. Press and hold to draw, aim with a reticle that drifts the way a held bow drifts, and release on the clicker. Hold past the window and your bow arm sags. Ends of three or six, scored on a full competition face: ten rings and an X, 40 cm at 18 m indoors, 122 cm at 70 m outdoors. THE GROUP DIAGNOSIS - A tight group off centre gets a number: how many clicks and which way, separated into windage and elevation. - A scattered group gets the opposite, in the app's own words: "No sight number here, on purpose. Centring a scatter re-centres an error that is still there, and then you chase the sight in circles." - Both fall out of ONE inequality: the offset has to beat the uncertainty in where the group's centre even is. The dashed circle on the face is that threshold, so the rule is visible. - Sideways drift the crosswind alone explains is blamed on the wind, not the sight, so you do not turn up next session shooting to one side. - Tall groups point at the release and the anchor; wide ones at bow torque and at how you read the wind. MEASURED, NOT ASSERTED - A clean release gives a mean group radius of 1.71 cm at 18 m. Let the timing slide and it becomes 12.42 cm, 7.3 times wider, from nothing but the release. - With the sight 2.5 cm out, a clean release reads "sight off" in 3942 ends out of 4000 and a sloppy one reads "scattered" in 3825. Same sight error, opposite verdict. - Dispersion is carried as an angle, so the same form groups four times wider at 70 m than indoors. SET PLAY - Matches run on set points, not a running total, so one bad end costs you a set instead of averaging away. That is the format Olympic recurve matches use, and no casual archery game models it. - Four events, each a ranking round plus a bracket of four matches: 20 stages, 24 invented opponents rated 46 to 99. - Opponents shoot the same physics you do. They miss because their hand is unsteady, never because a script said so. THE RANGE - Sight marks are stored per distance, so a correction you earn today is still there tomorrow. - Wind is a steady crosswind plus gusts: the steady part you can aim off, the gusty part you cannot. - 51 achievements, from your first X to a mean group radius under 2.2 cm. - Ten bow-and-arrow sets bought with points earned by shooting, cosmetic on purpose: nothing you unlock touches your group. - An insights tab with a consistency heatmap, weekly comparisons and your day streak. PERFECT FOR - Recurve archers reading groups through the off-season - Beginners told to move the sight and never told when NOT to - Club shooters between the indoor and outdoor seasons - Anyone curious what set play means before a first head-to-head - Long commutes, waiting rooms and flights with no signal at all PRIVATE AND OFFLINE No account, no sign-up, no online play, nothing to connect to. Every arrow and every centimetre is computed on your device and stays there. Works in aeroplane mode. Archora is a game, not coaching equipment: its numbers describe the arrows you shot in it.
