Ich habe zuerst versucht eine Bluetooth Kommunikation mit der normalen Arduino/esp32- Bibliothek zum IPhone herzustellen und habe das als sehr zeitaufwendig und kompliziert empfunden. Mit dem Paket hier ging es super einfach und auch die Bedienoberfläche/Widgets ist dabei. Hat mir viel Zeit und Nerven erspart.

Complex and many features don't work
It took me about 2 hours to go through the 180+ pages of documentation. Struggled to find a single working example sketch for an ESP32. Reverted to spend the extra money to use the"code generator".....Big mistake as this feature has bugs and simply doesn't allow you to fill in the project name to start with, which is required, tried restarting, re-installing app, switching on and off editing mode etc. After 4 hours I gave up.

Great app - fastest way to get Arduino into iOS
I’m not a programmer, I’m an EE and I managed to get the app to work with an ESP32 system with minimal effort. Sure there is some actual coding involved and it is not as frictionless as some other Arduino products but it does work and once you get it hooked up properly in your code it will save you a ton of time and effort. The developer was super responsive to my questions and got back to me very quickly when I had an issue. If you need to get an ESP32 hooked up to iPad or iPhone fast, spend the money and buy the app.

How do you use app
Ipad app don't usually come with an instructional manual. Because with ios you don't need one. All this app does it show cme a bunch of blank squares. I can't do anything.

Don‘t waste your Money
This app is not compatible with current arduino libraries. Use Blynk instead. It‘s also free for private use.

Die App tut was sie soll und es gibt eine gute Anleitung.
Dafür gibt es 2 Sterne.
Die Oberfläche ist in meinen Augen grotig programiert.
Verschiebt man ein Widget, verschieben sich auch andere einfach mit. Öffnet man zum Beispiel einen Graphen und vergrößert ihn, kann man das Fenster nicht verschieben und kommt auch nicht an die darunter liegenden Bedienelemente ein no go.
Warum kann man die Vergrößerung nicht auf vollen Bildschirm einstellen?
Schließt man die App bei laufender Verbindung hat man mit Sicherheit das Glück dass beim erneuten Öffnung keine Verbindung mehr zu Stande kommt und man muss immer daran denken vor dem Schließen die Verbindung zu unterbrechen, dann klappt es beim nächsten Mal wahrscheinlich.
Die App ist im Ansatz gut in der Ausführung der Oberfläche miserabel.
Dazu kommt noch das man völlig überteuert noch 16 € ausgeben soll um ein paar Code Schnipsel nicht selber schreiben zu müssen das werde ich mit Sicherheit nicht tun.
Dann schreibe ich mir lieber selber einen kleinen Webserver für den ESP 8266 und kann mir dann aber meine eigene Oberfläche schaffen. Macht auch nicht mehr Arbeit und es ist wesentlich günstiger.
Nachtrag.: Anstatt die mangelhafte Oberflächenbedienung zu verbessern, konzentriert sich der Entwickler jetzt wohl mehr darauf Kohle zu scheffeln und lässt sich jetzt die Tutorials zu seiner eigenen App bezahlen???

This would be great for someone with a great deal of Arduino experience.
As others state, you need the code and pin in-app putchasrs to do anything useful. The first video tutorial covers buying them, and that says it all.

Very Powerful and Easy to Program
Update June 2016. Been using Arduino Manager for a couple of years now. It's quite a stable and useful development kit. iPad programming is simple drag and drop. Arduino programming is necessary. Documentation gets you started. Code Generator is helpful. Some the capabilities are tremendously powerful, like reading files from an SD drive and data logging. Updates continue to improve capability and performance. Very satisfied with this platform.

I now have a couple of useful, stable, control applications running on Arduino Manager using both Uno and Mega with Ethernet shields. Code transports perfectly between Uno and Mega. Even a fairly complex control program fits on an Uno. Some larger wifi sketches may call for the bigger Mega.
Arduino Manager's documentation gets you going quickly assuming you have decent Arduino familiarity. Working with an Ethernet shield is very easy. Arduino Manager's iPad widgets offer one-way or two-way communications with Arduino and are pretty clearly explained. There's NO programming needed on the iPad.
I haven't tried the code generator, but the example sketch gets you up and running quickly. Fabrizio Boco actually answers email and continues to support the program.
This is a well made tool. I continue to develop on it.

Not working with Voiceover
Hello fellow Arduino enthusiasts,
I read many good reviews about the Arduino Manager and I believe it is one of the most interesting and vversatile Arduino APPs out there.
Unfortunately I can’t tell how great it is because it doesn’t work for me.
I’m blind so I need to use Voiceover to do anything on the iPhone.
I purchased the App almost two years ago and have not had the enjoyable experience some of you may have had.
The App has very limited accessability with Voiceover, key features like Add, Delete or Move wigits can only be accessed by a sighted person.
When I contacted Fabrizio first time, he was very responsive and promised to fix the Voiceover compatibility issue.
That was almost two years ago and nothing got fixed.
Since then I contacted Fabrizio several times, but he doesn’t even have the courtesy to respond ,as if the problem doesn’t exist or perhaps hoping that it will go away.
In my opinion the changes I’m asking for are easy to implement, but perhaps Fabrizio has no desire nor he feels that he has any moral obligation to do so.
It may sound that I’m judging based on a very subjective or narrow perspective and some of you may not agree with me.
But I’m speaking for all the disabled people out there who for no fault of their own have to put up with all sorts of restrictions every day.
We are not asking for much, we just want to be treated with the same respect as evrYbody else
So based on my personal experience, I have no choice but to rate this App in very unfavorable terms.

In these years we have received some few requests about improving the app for vision impaired people. To all these people we answered that unfortunately, when the app was designed the first time we were not very much aware that they could take advantage of it and we did't considered Voice-over as an option. Following these requests, we spent some time to understand how to introduce Voice-Over but unfortunately it is not so easy at this development phase and requires major GUI reworking that we cannot face because a very very small niche market. It's sad, but it's true.

Every thing I tried required payment. Useless app for me.

Abstract
Unsupported and poorly written. How to use it and why to use it are just unanswered mysteries.
Latest version
I have had this app for months and it had been working flawlessly. When the latest version was released, the app no longer functions. As soon as the app is done opening, everything freezes. I can't open the menu, push any buttons, or even swipe left or right. I'm going to try and return to the old version tomorrow. Hopefully they can get these issues resolved.

The web site is confusing, and the tutorial is vague when it comes to Ethernet support. Could NOT get my phone connected even though the video makes it look "easy" to connect. Plus any "extra" things you want the app to do require two additional app purchases. Do not buy this app.

Meiner Meinung nach, ist diese App keine 8€ Wert, auch wenn diese Art von Apps für Entwickler i.d.R. immer so viel kosten.
Erstmal zu den Positiven Aspekten:
• Die App bietet viele 'Widgets' um einen Arduino zu steuern, aber auch Werte von den Pins auszulesen und Symbolisch, teilweise sogar Grafisch, auszugeben.
U. a. kann man mit einem LED Widget anzeigen ob ne LED am Microcontroller leuchtet oder nicht, etc, so wie man es hier auf den Bilder auch sehen können.
• Man kann die Menü Layout speichern und so hin und her Switchen, je nach Projekt oder Board.
Doch das wars eig schon von den Positiven Aspekten, ohne jetzt weiter auf die einzelnen Widgets einzugehen.
Jetzt zu den negativ Adpekten:
• Stürzt auf iOS 8.1.2, iPhone 4S immer mal wieder ab. Auch öfters beim Hinzufügen von Widgets.
• Das UI (User Interface) ist echt miserabel und weit vom Mindeststandart der Apps die man hier sonst bekommt. Man kann die Widget mit einen Doppelklick vergrößern, allerdings funktioniert das sehr schlecht bis gar nicht bzw. erst nach mehrfachen klicken (egal ob der Schalter unten Rechts auf EIN oder AUS steht) und dementsprechend ist das Minimieren genau so eine Zeitaufwendige Prozedur.
• In den Widget muss man in den kleinen Grauefläche den Namen der Variabel eintragen welches im Arduino Sourcecode verwendet wird, doch das geht auch nur bediengt und grade beim Lenkkrad Widget teilweise gar nicht.
• Genau so unnötig Kompliziert ist das Löschen der Widget. Es gibt kein Symbol und man muss "raten". Ich bin mir bis jetzt auch immer noch nicht sicher wie ich einzelne Widget auf die schnelle löschen kann aber im Menü kann man direkt alle gleichzeitig löschen.
• Für weitere 7€ könnt ihr per iApp-Kauf einen Codegenerator freischalten, welches nach euren Einstellungen einen fertigen Sourcecode erstellt. Ich finde die Idee zwar gut aber für sowas kleines (viel konnte man lt. Test anderen auch nicht einstellen) ist das eine doch recht hoche Summe, da man auch für die App schon 8€ hingeblättert hat und hab mich deswegen dagegen entschieden, weil ich Fit im Programmieren bin.
• Und jetzt zu dem Grund weswegen Ich die App jetzt doch zurück gegeben hab. Die Verbindung klappt oftmals nicht trotz richtige IP und PORT (Nutze Ethernet Shield) oder alle Verbindungen waren zwischen 10 und 30 sek. weg und konnte entweder nicht direkt connecten oder musste sogar den Arduino zurück setzten obwohl ich den Original Beispiel Sourcecode von dem App-Entwickler genutzt habe. Mit meinem Code hab's ähnliche Probleme.
Alles im allem, ich setze jetzt auf Alternativen und diese App kann ich echt nicht empfehlen.

BEST ARDUINO APP AVAILABLE
I cannot express how amazing this app is in such a short review. I have never reviewed an app before but after the latest update this app so deserves my time for recognizing what a beautiful interface it allows for any arduino project.
The in app purchases of the code and pin generator are so useful I cannot believe how inexpensive they are. My arduino programming skills have increased ten fold just by studying the code this app generates. Along with continual improvements and new features being add with each update, the value of this app only increases. It is a true must have for anyone who dabbles in the world of Arduino.
My deepest gratitude goes out to Fabrizio Boco and anyone else who works on his "Arduino Manager" team. BRAVO!!!
