Exactly what we need
Way easier than a spreadsheet to share food preferences with others and catalogue them for myself. Fantastic ARFID resource. On top of it all, there aren’t a million ads in my face; it’s got a clean, unobtrusive interface that focuses on doing what the app is supposed to: incredible.
My only complaint is that it’s not in many languages but translation is really hard to do. It could also be nice to have a roulette-style mode where it can serve a random food and then you rate it since scrolling through the list takes a lot of time.

Great Resource
Perfect app/tool to record all my safe/unsafe foods as well as record food intake day by day.
Very simple to use, could use a little tutorial guide in the beginning.
Bonus- it lets you track food without recording calories or anything else.

Best food list
I have found so many more food suggestions that I had forgotten I like. It’s made eating so much easier.
FINALLY A GOOD ARFID APP!!
I’ve had undiagnosed eating issues for the past few years & I suspect I have ARFID. I was writing down a list of safe & unsafe foods in my notes app for a while until I tried looking up ARFID apps, I found this one & I tried it. It’s absolutely perfect. The design, the specifications you can make to what’s safe & not safe, things you want to try, & things you just can’t have. You can even specify what type of grape is safe. (For me it’s crunchy green grapes.) I never leave reviews on apps but this one deserves to be more well known for people with a bad relationship with food. & the app is free as well!! I was so excited when I found this app. Thank you! It’s helped me tremendously.

Great start as an ARFID tool
I hope you can offer categories to easily find items to limit mental overwhelm. We should be apple to add our own items without requests. Would like to add photos of our food to the item we create as visual support.
Perfect for people with ARFID
Thank you devs. Seriously!!! You are a lifesaver!!!!
Good
It’s so good I have a baby boy and he is not a fan of food
Disorganized and overwhelming
It’s great to finally see some sort of tool dedicated to tackling ARFID especially considering how much it’s ruined my life thus far. That said, the structure of the list of foods is incredibly disorganized, and its longevity makes it harder to find anything. Yes there’s a search function, but I myself am trying to fill the list and it’s a mammoth task. I also don’t particularly like the fact that marking a food puts it on the food journal; I think this could be useful to some people but I think this should be optional. Regardless, thanks for making this app because it’s such a valuable resource.

Helpful!
This is so helpful to my dietitian. I forget the foods off the top of my head I would forget to put on my list. As an adult with ARFID plus!
This is good even if ur not a picky eater?!!!!
This is a great app for anybody
Amazing helps me so much I can send screenshots to my friends so they know what I like and it helps
Love this wppp
great app, want to add foods not listed
i am a big fan of the pitaya app! as someone with arfid, it is really great to have this app that includes a variety of foods that are challenging and others that are safe for me. i would love if i had the ability to add foods that aren’t listed on the app as not all of my like foods/tolerate foods/uncertain foods/dislike foods/restrictive foods are included in the app. i also go through phases where i may like to try a more specific food (ex: apples with cinnamon vs. just an apple / just cinnamon) and would appreciate it if i had the opportunity to also type in the food i want to try (along with the foods i like/restrictive/etc.) i do really enjoy and appreciate this app and am so glad that i found it and that it is available and free! i highly recommend this app for those with arfid as it’s a great tool to reflect where you are in terms of food and it helps a lot in social situations such as going out with friends to a restaurant. 😊thank you to the creator, it’s an excellent tool for me!

This app has saved mealtimes
I came across this app and decided to try it as my 8 year old son has had extreme pickiness for years. I’ve tried to wait it out, not pressure him. All the things were told to do.
This app has taken the pressure off me and him and he loves that he gets to choose one food a week to try and tick off when he’s eaten some of his weekly food. He will then decide if he likes, dislikes, or tolerates a food. Previously he’s refused to try a lot. It’s really taken the stress out of meals for our family and even though it’s slow going it’s so great!
Thanks so much for saving our mealtimes!!

I’ve been waiting for something like this!!
I struggle with eating and this allows me to have a huge list sorted so my partner and I can plan meals without as much stress!! I’ll love it even more as more foods are added so that meal prep can become feasible for us. Thank you!!
Perfect for me
I’ve had a life long struggle with food and this app is perfect for sorting it out!
suggestion
hey !! i love the app but i wanna suggest something. could you add a “safe food” list? thanks!
This is so good
I really appreciate this app
ARFID-Mom’s Prayer Answered! Absolutely Fantastic as Prep for Specialist Visit!
I can’t say how incredibly wonderful and thoughtful this checklist is! Helps me track the foods my ARFID kid consumes and which he restricts/avoids all together. Very helpful when talking to Drs. and therapists. Love the GOAL section with a tracker for how many times a food is tried!
i have some suggestions
i love this app so much but i wanted to say i suggest having things under uncertain to specify if you're uncertain because you haven't tried it before, or it depends on how it's made, or you literally just don't know yet. i think it would also be nice to have a wider variety of opinions you can choose from or you have the basic ones then an option to make your own. i know this isn't what the app was originally made for but i think it would help a lot of people if there were recipe suggestions based on what you can eat, as well as suggestions on what you might wanna try next. i know i've only really talked about suggestions but i do like this app and so far it seems useful
