Twenty analog and cinematic looks, none of them guessed. The four film emulsions come from the characteristic curves published by the manufacturers: the gamma of each layer, and therefore the order and sign of the colour shift at every brightness level. The others were measured with a colorimeter on reference images.
WHY IT MATTERS
A filter that invents its colours shows. A measured look holds skin tones, keeps whites clean and does not fall apart in the shadows.
OPTICS ARE SIMULATED, NOT PASTED ON
The red halation of tungsten film comes from light bouncing off the base and re-exposing the red layer. The anamorphic streak, lens fringing, the Pro-Mist veil, grain weighted by luminance: each one is computed, not stuck on top.
TWENTY LOOKS, FOUR FAMILIES
Cinema, Neon, Analog, Editorial. Each one tints the whole interface, so you always know where you are.
CONTROLS
Intensity and grain, separately. Grading, clarity, anti-fringing, 35mm film border and a retro date stamp.
PHOTO, VIDEO, BATCH
The same look on a photo, on a 1080p clip, or on a whole series.
