Teacher Review - Arithmetic Invaders
3.5 stars. Not a bad little skill practice app with Space Invaders style graphics. It probably won't hold a child's attention for days, but decent for several 15 to 20 minute practice sessions. For children that need more time for computation, this game may be a little fast and frustrating. I would probably use this with an advanced 1st grader or 2nd grader.

This app is a great overview of the series. I love how kids enjoy playing the games so much, they forget they are actually working.

Ok, not for very easily frustrated
Well I haven't had too much luck getting my son interested in the game. I doubt it's really the game though. He has a very low frustration level and is easily stressed if it feels like its going too fast.
Busy kids
Love how it tricks the kids to thinks they are just playing!!

Good practice app
This is a nice trial version of an arithmetic app. The space theme and robotic voice adds character to essentially practicing math skills. The included solar system facts are a nice addition to the theme as well. It is worth checking out the lite version and thanks to the developer for offering a lite version for that purpose.

Great space design
The thing that hooked me was the alien voice welcoming me. This would be so engaging for kids. I like the black sky background which makes the items stand out. Finally, I like how planet facts are mixed in. I haven't finished a mission yet, but I will try this with my students who are sure to be more successful!

Great app
This app is a neat way for kids to learn about math. They get to have fun while they are learning. I like that one has the ability to change the amt. of time for the game. My first grader loves it!

Great fun!
My 6 year old grandson loves this app! He is way ahead of his class in Kindergarten and I'm convinced that playing this has helped his understanding. My only complaint is that the narration is hard to understand.

Great for my students
We will be using this in a class competition for my students with special needs. One of them in particular really shines when concepts are presented in a game format! Plus, we get a little science too! What fun!
Space invaders meets number skills
The app does well what it sets out to do - provide practice and reinforcement for basic math skills. Good graphics and overall appeal good. The robotic voice suits the space theme but is sometimes difficult to hear. And I found the firing buttons a little too close to the direction arrows - I often hit the firing button when meaning to hit the direction arrow, especially when first learning how the app operated.
