Response from developer

Hello No Cam, Thank you for your review and comment. Two quick things: 1) Are you a customer, as we don't recognize your name? If so, please reach out to us at: support@arstemlabs.com 2) There is no Augmented Reality app anywhere in the entire universe, that works without a camera and its access. Additionally, in our App Store description, we explicably state that 'Camera Access' is required to use the use the AR functionality in our app- as with all Augmented Reality experiences. If you have any other questions or comments please let us know. AR STEM LABS TEAM :)

Doesn’t work as advertised.

Doesn’t work as advertised. The AR feature is really bad. 90% of the time it doesn’t work and just bounces around. They should have videos and reading tutorials along with the AR, cause the AR doesn’t work.

Response from developer

Hello Mahesh, Thank you for your review and feedback. We are sorry that you have come across some challenges and would be glad to help you in resolving them. We ask you to follow some of the most common solutions below, that more than likely affected your experience thus far - which are a set of requirements for almost all Augmented Reality experiences: 1) Only use Arlektra on a table/desk solid in color (no patterns or abstract designs) 2) Only use Arlektra on a table/desk free from items or clutter in, on or around it 3) Only use Arlektra in a workspace that is not too DARK or LIGHT (please test in your area) 4) Make sure there is no glare present on the Arlektra Breadboard 5) Hold your device 10 inches away from the breadboard (Steadily and Smoothly) We 100% stand behind our products and advertisements, and believe if you follow the tips above – you will have a completely different experience to report. To follow up, we would like to hear from you directly on your continuing Arlektra experience, and ask you to please reach out to us at: support@arstemlabs.com If you have any other questions or comments, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards, AR STEM LABS TEAM

So Awesome!

I never knew what Augmented Reality was, so I was really skeptical when we purchased the Arlektra kit for our son. The 3D experience mixed together with the hands-on projects are really impactful, and helped my son understand different concepts of electricity as he followed the lessons and built circuits. Thank you so much for an awesome teaching tool and learning experience!

Needs work

I love the concept, but the AR does not work very well, especially in relation to the breadboard. I think you need a non-AR mode that I can just move with my fingers on the screen so I can just reference the image as opposed to trying to overlay it on the breadboard. Too much fussing around.

The lessons dont track your progress. I think you need to have some badges or progress tracker.

I think you should have lessons build on other lessons to make the board layout more complex over time without starting fresh for each project.

The jumper wires do not easily slide into the breadboard and so the tips end up bending. The kit should have come with hard tip jumper-wires.

I would say 4 stars on the hardware and concept, and really 2 stars on the app for now, but I see a lot of room for improvement over time.

Doesnt work. Just turned on my camera

Makes you feel like someone is watching you. Has menus that explain some stuff but the 3-d simulator doesnt work.

Response from developer

Hello Heiz, Thank you for downloading the Arlektra app and your comment. It seems you may not be using the Arlektra app correctly, and skipped the most important step. The Arlektra app is not a standalone '3D simulator' as you described. As per the instructions on the Guest Menu lessons, you must: 1) First, download and print the required image target 2) Next, select a lesson from the Guest Menu 3) Next, point the rear camera of your device to the printed image target 4) Lastly, follow the lessons - and you will then see real-time 3D animations on top of the printed image target as you look through your device The instructions stated above are used only for the Guest Menu lessons - which are different from the full Arlektra Learning Kit lessons. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Best regards, AR STEM LABS TEAM
