Very useful app

It will give you a live sound level reading like other apps. It will also tell you what is a "safe" level or what it compares to, like "this is how loud a flushing toilet is" (LOL).

However, you have to record the sound with the app to show the sound level. So, you can't have the sound level run constantly. It runs for 30 seconds at a time and you don't have to save each recording. To save the sound byte you must assign it a "category" (which won't usually make sense but that's what it requires). You can also see a graphical view of recorded sounds.

The best part: NO ADS!!

Very inaccurate

This sound level meter shows sound levels that are about 20 dB too high. There is an ability to calibrate, but you can only reduce the level by a maximum of 10 dB. I'm using the app on an iPhone SE. Maybe it's better with other model iPhones. But still there are other sound level meter apps that are far more accurate than this one is.

Works but incorrect

Is listing a silent room as 75dB average; app isn't close to correct, which is a real shame as the GUI and log tools are great. Needs a calibration function!

Reading too high

Recording decibels higher than they should be. Also tested with Mic covered up and it was still showing readings that should not be occurring. Recommend trying to find another app if there's a good one out there. Haven't found one yet.

Features to add?

Would be great if there was no timer or allow the user to set a specific timer instead of 30 secs? Also would like a pause button as well ^_^. Thanks!
