No updates- no new season. Repeat of seasons
This game was fun. absolutely boring now. Zero updates, zero feedbck from developers. The developers lack vision, motivation, or a care about building this game. They don’t care about the people that play it.
No balance
This game is full of bullies and a lack of balance. I don’t recommend this game because if you don’t do as the big players say they will wipe you out over and over.
Not Worth It Anymore
The game started out great, but just like AMS every time they do an update they change it for the worse. Leave a good thing alone. We are constantly losing good players because of your messed up updates. Players that spent a ton of money on their accounts.

We’d to fix it for iPhone 14
With the iPhone dynamic island you cannot use part of the top of the screen. Makes it a lot harder to play.
Fire the developers.
Don’t waste your time. More bugs that your mattress with bed bugs. When the developers fix said bugs the change the whole design and name of the game. So instead of using KISS and fixing a bug. These jack heads redo the whole game. And create more bugs.
Each of the updates has issues for apple
Update June 2023 Still the same issues for Apple players they unroll updates that give android users head starts and then just apologize in general broad strokes. Seems the developers don’t play the game.
Mar 2023 Every update seems to roll out to others first then to Apple a couple hours later if not a day later. This last update is just a black screen with the announcements that scroll across the screen but nothing loads. Others are playing but it does give such an unfair advantage. This is coming from one of the higher players in the game.

Your game won’t update if it is an iPhone product happens at least one a month anymore
Developers PLEASE READ:
Absolutely love the game, everything about it is fun, if you’ve a few bucks there’s tons of different game styles I’d recommend to anybody who loves role playing/ strategy. Also played the original “AMS” and that was a complete banger too, always have been a spender and always will be, now the only problem with this game and these type of games is you need to always be allowed to check your base or put a shield up, especially if you’re spending money to get these things. When this app has an update it takes about a day or two for it to be released for the App Store (Apple) and during this period you’re unable to play until you update. See the problem? This to me is one of the worst problems a pay2win game can have, and for this reason you’ll loose a lot of money from iPhone and iPad users because they don’t want to spend money on a game that sometimes doesn’t allow you to play it. I would really love to see this fixed because 1-2 days is along time to be unable to login to make sure I haven’t lost all I’ve worked for and spent personal countless hours to gain. Thanks!

This game since I been playing it is a very disappointing game ever upgrade take everything you had spent money on heroes gears I spend money on and speeding up and power lost everything the change on it we all be losing on
iPhone App Update Delays!
It’s a fun game when you can actually play. They constantly make updates without testing causing errors. Plus if you are an iPhone user…you will miss out for days & days as the updates aren’t released timely. Their help center is NOT helpful at all and doesn’t seem to respond timely or provide any assistance. Lots of players quit due to the above issues.

3 days have not been able to login
Worse game ever have not been able to login for 3 days they just say sorry wait for apple to update how about u send apple the update in advance I will not be spending or asking anyone else to join this game half my alliance quit over this
It WAS a fun game until it became inaccessible
After the last update/ Change of season, I’ve only managed to access the game successfully 1 time for a brief period. Sorry now for all the effort building up my player strength. I’m sure my assets have been totally pillaged by now.
Pleasantly Surprised
We all know these types of games and if you played Army Men Strike, you know the drill. HOWEVER, Army Men Defense has some improvements upon AMS.
1) Campaign has an Actual story. I don’t know how long it will continue for, but I like to get immersed in the world when I play. Since 3DO went out of business long ago, any army men content is good!
2) The real-time gameplay plays a bigger part in this game which is great. I want something to do besides just tapping on different event icons or spend money.
3) The world map shows your army and the heroes that are leading your army which is great! However, they haven’t really added anything to the world map to make it more interesting, it is still just “look at all of these bases next to each other!”
4) The graphics and heroes look much better and I almost wonder why Volcano doesn’t make a REAL army men game for the PC. They have some cool models and they are building a world, they should just put their efforts into a decent army men game since we haven’t had one in a long time!
5) The store is not too egregious yet, but they are charging $20 a month for a subscription. I have never seen a mobile game charge so much for the monthly rewards benefits in these mobile games. I just looked at 3 different games and they all charge $5 for the same thing.
All in all, it’s a step in the right direction.
This next part is directly for Volcano: I am telling you, if you keep improving the “Real-time” gameplay aspects like the campaigns, you will have a real game that stands apart from the other mobile games that are cash grabs. I HIGHLY suggest you look at a game called “Guns Up” and think about making the gameplay more like that. You would have an absolute GOLDMINE if you can make a real-time army men experience.

Rip off
Bought same pack 4 times but only received it once. Wrote customer support with screenshots of the charges that included the name of the pack and they wanted to argue that I bought it once and then got different packs. They didn’t give me the items they said were in the other packs either. Don’t waste your time

Volcano stealing purchases
The game was very fun at first. Then a patch came out that took away purchases made here and gave you back very less resources than you had purchased. The next patch made the campaign of “Defense” impossible to play in campaign mode. The enemy crushes you instantly. When I sent customer support a question, their response was try different hero’s and different strategies. The only players advancing past a single campaign stage are brand new players on the demo levels. They nuked their own game and haven’t fixed it in two patches now. Online seems fine for multi player, but the best alliances have players using multiple accounts on the same map to farm resources and transfer to their main character. So if you intend on starting, don’t expect to get far in multiplayer any more.
