A very enjoyable way to test your brain power, with no annoying timer. So many different types of word games- and so cheap if you want to avoid adverts.

Subscription needs updating
I’ve liked the games, but. My first unpleasant surprise came realizing after paying for my phone subscription, a new subscription needed to be bought for the game on my iPad. Now on a new phone the subscription has not migrated to my new phone and I don’t see a way to rectify this. Feels a bit like a rip off.

…..the childish coins overlay. There are many games…. and I haven’t played any of the crossword ones, having read the reviews saying they come complete with stupid clues, but never mind. The point here for me is that every game I’ve played has a crazy childish coins overlay to it. You get given coins for completing, coins for playing 10 minutes, and are charged coins for any of the various kinds of assistance requested. With Pic Quiz, this is insane, as the pics are so generic it’s impossible to guess the answer and assistance "costs" an absurd amount, dwarfing the coins awarded for completion.
But that’s minor compared to just how stupid this overlay is in terms of how badly it gets in the way of a smooth user experience. For example, I’ve just completed a head scratching puzzle (I really like Word Jigsaw) and naturally expect to see the result, but no! Some stupid graphic takes over the screen to award me 50 coins. I don’t give a …. ! Just when I want to look at the result of all my hard work, Havos has decided that I want to look at a stupid and to be honest fairly meaningless graphic. There’s a "review" button to go back and look at it, but that isn’t the point. Havos! Stop treating your users as if they are all 3 years old!
I downloaded this app because I love Codeword, another of Havos's. But that is standalone. No coins and no stupid graphics. So now I’ve shelled out A$14.99 for this one to be ad free but I never want to use it again. Instead, I want an ad free and coins free version of the stand alone version of Word Jigsaw, but that will cost me another $4.99. Not happy.
