Great material subpar app

I love the art of manliness. I've been a fan for years. The app is itself is difficult to use. There is no search function. It crashes regularly. I just go to the website.

Didn’t work right

Searching is vague. Keeps refreshing and not loading.

I love them but…

The app is so much better than the website when it comes to finding great content to read. However, the subscription to remove ads is unrealistic. It should be $.99 per month with an option to donate more. But the biggest problem I have is the inability to zoom in to the photo tutorials, which I find to be greatly helpful and entertaining. I love to learn a new manly skill. Also, quick feedback on the website: many of your product links to Amazon go to dead ends, meaning there isn’t a product to buy.
In summary, love your work, wish I could zoom in, many links where I imagine you make money with don’t work. But overall amazing work!

AOM

Very good app full of information.

Ads and privacy

I’d like the app better if it wasn’t stuffed with ads for crypto scams and targeted ads. Aom and their anti-anonymity stance is lousy in this way. I wish Brett would reconsider how a lack of privacy hurts people in the age of surveillance, or at least filter the ads in some way

Pulls Men Out Of The Depth Of Disparity

This app is a symbol for the ideal use of phones and is a must have for all men.

It contains knowledge of anything you can think of and provides a reliable source for any questions on your mind. Brett McKay is a stand up Gentleman, his passion and consistency are praiseworthy. Brett and Kate are humble leaders who are leaving an extraordinary impact on this generation. If you download this app you will learn lots of new things, change your life, and show support for these high quality mentors.

Please add a “Search” feature!

I’ve been a fan of AoM and daily reader of the website since 2010. Recently I “bricked” or “dumbed down” my iPhone so that it would become less addicting. I got rid of every app except the essentials (text, phone, email, maps, etc) and even found a way to disable safari, so I don’t have internet! I did allow myself to download the AoM app though because I find your content to be uplifting, inspiring, and educational! I really like the app and I love the categories section and how specific it gets… my one issue though is that I wish I could search for specific terms or articles. For example, I wish I could search for a specific article or podcast episode without having to find the section I think it would be in and then having to scroll through it until I find it. That is really the only flaw I can find in this otherwise simple to use and really valuable app.

If you can add a search feature to find articles easier I’ll give it a solid 5 stars without question. If you are really feeling fancy though and wanna blow me out of the water, I’d LOVE to have a “Random Article” feature where if you hit that it takes you to any one of the thousands of articles published over the years. That would be such a fun way to discover or rediscover all that the AoM website has to offer. Sometimes I need something to randomly fall into my lap even though it wasn’t what I was looking for… those are often the things you really remember.

All that being said, I love AoM, just want to see something I love improve even more.

Life changing

The articles and podcasts are well structured. They cover important topics to help me improve my life. It’s a better alternative for when I’m bored versus the rest of the immoral internet. I’m very happy I stumbled across the AOM.

Excellent

The AOM app, podcast, and all information provides me with needed. Information. AOM is a gift that all should use. Thank You

Do a favour to yourself.

The best tool to carve a perfect men.

Greatly appreciate noble vision of greatness and guts

I greatly appreciate a podcast which tends to provide a noble vision of manliness, with bravado, greatness and guts. There is something inside every man and boy that wants to be great, courageous, intelligent, strong, heroic, worthy, and true. I believe this is embedded in every male our Maker, and this is the kind of real man that real women desire. We are living in a day where wisdom, grit, discipline, and decency are forgotten, along with the great stories and role models that were commonly known in earlier times. In their place is substituted folly, triviality, and indulgence in undeserved pleasure. So yes, this podcast is appreciated.

can’t find article

i was looking for a manly way to clean my old baseball cap, so i looked it up hoping to find an article about this. but, when i looked for it i couldn’t find a single article about the manly ways to clean your baseball cap without ruining it. i am quite disappointed in this app for not giving me the article i needed to have so i won’t ruin my manly baseball cap. but other than there not being a article about how to clean your baseball cap in a manly way the app is very good so all in all i gave it a three star review.

Amazing App

The Art of Manliness is a much needed tool to remind us that contrary to politically correct social media opinion being a real man is not a a bad thing. Great app that I can’t wait to share with my manly friends.

66_ on Brevity?

Missed the opportunity on this one.

Wholesome App

Great app. Lots to learn from. Keep up the good work.

My one critique is they should add a search feature to find specific articles.

App is just tedious.

The articles are GREAT usually. But it defeats the purpose of the app for me to have to open the web browser any way to find an article I wanted to reference since there is no search feature in the app. Might as well just use the browser to start off with.

The best content!

This is the type of app and content that makes us all better. I always find good info in the evergreen articles that helps me in any situation. It’s focused for men but my mother-in-law is a big supporter of the podcast. Great work!

Save articles

I’d love to be able to save articles to read later.

Fantastic

Excellent app, great content, I just wish there was a search feature and a way to favorite articles that I could come back to. Good work everyone!

Whither the search?

I just reinstalled the app which chock full of great stuff but evidently the developers decided to remove the search feature which means the only way to find and access anything is to wade into the categories, try and guess where, for example, James Bond might belong and then search there.
