I used premium for 2 months
I love it and hate it.
The good:
- It receives articles from the browser easily.
- When it works, it’s genuinely great.
- The voice reads are excellent with different, likeable voices used randomly for some welcome variety.
- Cheaper than Speechify and allows monthly payment, not annual.
- When it works, I absolutely love it
The bad:
- As a heavy user, I ran out of monthly minutes within 2-3 weeks. At which point it prompts you to “contact” support and request extra bonus minutes to tide you over until your next renewal.
However, sadly in the second month I waited days for a response to this and did not receive one. Leaving me unable to use the app at all, for 5+ days, despite being a premium user.
- I suspect the app is borderline abandonware. No updates for 11mths at time of writing? Little response from developers.
- When your past article list gets long, the app becomes increasingly slow just to startup. 60 seconds or more just to start working? And there is no bulk delete to clear all past articles out, to speed it up again. So you are stuck with this behaviour.
- Trying to queue too many articles at once to convert, frequently results in one or more “stuck” articles that don’t convert to voice and don’t allow the queue to proceed.
Especially frustrating because these stuck articles must be deleted entirely and re-shared with the app.
It’s a very mixed bag. But an app that could become great if they fixed these issues.

Works well
I have a weekly newsletter I subscribe to and would prefer to listen rather than read. This app does the job and is reasonably priced.
Would be good to have speed controls on the player as I like to listen at 1.5x.
