Disappointed
As an SLP, I was very disappointed in this app. It did not have every sound in each position. The target words are very difficult for kids, such as olive and dove. The scoring is not sensitive enough to capture all types of errors. The report has many charts that are not helpful for analysis or parents.

Information at your fingertips.
This is a great app. It generates reports, shows data in various ways and is therapist and kid friendly!
Makes evaluation so easy
I have been using the Sunny Artic Test for a while now. I love the portability aspect and the ability to email results. The kids love the photos. The full test covers most phonemes. It would be nice to be able to mark off errors of the phonemes not targeted in a specific photo, as well. Recording aspect is great. I would like to see a picture that can elicit a sentence or conversation.

The sentence test that’s included really helps further assess students that are able to say the sounds in words but struggle at the sentence level. I use it almost daily!!
Awesome app for SLPs
I just love this app for screening and evaluating articulation! It saves me a lot of time analyzing the errors by the different features. This is all I use now!
Articulation Assessment Toolkit
What a fabulous app!! The AAT assesses articulation and phonological skills at the word level and at the sentence level. It provides comprehensive test results which makes analyzing the data and writing goals/objectives so much easier! I highly recommend this app to anyone who provides speech therapy services to children who present with communication needs.

Great Information and fun for kids too
My kids love using the iPad for anything and will go through all of the pictures and love it. This gives a great report at the end and parents like to see the progress. Great app!
Go-To Screener
This is my favorite app for articulation screenings. It’s quick, easy, and well organized. I love using it for progress monitoring and initial evaluations!
Only downside is used the app on my iPhone and couldn’t access the R-screener, which was frustrating.
Still highly recommend!

Great app for SLPs
This app is great for SLPs. It is quick and it holds the child's attention so much better than paper artic tests. I love the addition of the phonological component. So helpful and such a timesaver! The district in which I work just got iPads for all SLPs and I have been showing this app to a lot of people. This is a great way for me to track progress and write IEP present levels. Some of the pictures could be better.

Very Engaging!
I work with students who have a complex learning challenges. This app engages them much better than a paper test, and pops out a super-thorough report when we're done! I love it!
Makes testing fun and efficient
Sunny has become my favorite artic & phonology testing resource. The pictures are engaging and I have yet to find a client who doesn't enjoy "flipping" the pictures and saying the words. I love the data collection and report that automatically populates with specific errors and diagnostic findings. This app is a great investment for SLPs. No books to get ripped or protocols to run out of!

Useful tool and a time saver
While this test is not standardized, it provides detailed information on speech production errors in single words, including types of errors and percentage of errors in specific word positions. It allows for audio recording of responses which can be reviewed later. The option of screening or full assessment is a nice feature, and can be a quick way to monitor progress. The report feature can be a time saver, with reports available for both screening and full assessment.

Great app for SLPs
This is my go to app for testing articulation and phonology. You could choose if you want to do the full test, a quick screener, or the r screener. While doing the test/ screener you could mark errors right away. You could also type in notes to remind you of certain errors or manner of production. Recording is also an option to review later. It could also help the child by using it as an auditory feedback for sessions. They would know they are producing speech sounds better. Another great thing is that you could flip the IPA facing you if you are in front of the child. After the test, you rate their intelligibility in 2 ways: single word and conversational. So there is a touch of subjectivity. I love that the reports are easy for parents to understand. It's very visual. It explains to the parents that there are phonemes that are supposed to be mastered at a specific age. Making them understand that it is important to also work on them at home.

Another great app from Smarty Ears
I love this app to help parents and teachers understand speech errors. This is great for the times when a classroom teacher asks for a quick screening on a student. It is colorful and easy to administer for even the youngest of students. Thanks Smarty Ears. I use it for screening and to identify patterns in errors. I use many Smarty Ears apps but this is definitely a favorite.

Awesome app!
I purchased this app to assess my preschoolers and keep tabs on my daughter's speech sound development (she has Down syndrome.). I love that I can record sessions and take notes, then go back and listen for errors I may have missed and compare to my notes! Portability is also a huge plus!
Waste of money, huge disappointment
Very disappointed with this app; even more so with their customer service. It just seems crazy to me that you would make an app to assess articulation that doesn’t even include gliding as an error for liquid blends. You shouldn’t have to make a separate note for all of those words. It should also have a few more pictures included to look at more clusters. For example, it only looks at /sn, st, sw/ for /s/-clusters. I don't think it would have been that hard to add a picture for /sp, sm, sk, sl/. Same goes for /l/ and /r/ clusters. Granted, it is supposed to be used to supplement standardized assessment data, however I still think it wouldn't have hurt to include it. I’ve tried contacting the company’s support department three times to get help with issues/concerns and have not heard back from them once. This app is a waste of money.... I so regret buying this. I’ve used it once, and won’t use it again. I have their Articulate It Pro! app and like that, but this was a huge disappointment.

Bugs
I downloaded this test on my iPhone 6 Plus, performed the assessment, and now can't do anything with it because when I hit the email button or the "manner" tab the app crashes. This app is good for iPad but you need to fix the above issues for the iPhone 6 Plus.
Not good for iPhone
My iPad does not have internet while I'm doing home visits, so I rely on my iPhone for quick and documentable samples. This app continually drops me, still can't retrieve results. Disappointing.
Crashes on iPhone
When I try to view the results on my iPhone, the app bugs out. It works better on my iPad.
Awe, nice concept
Mine keeps crashing also:(
