Excellent Test!
Easy to administer. Immediate results. I use 2 iPads - one for the student and 1 for me to record scores and comments. Excellent for a therapist on the go!

Informative and time saving app
This app gives me so much information than other tests I’ve used to direct my intervention and report progress made. Definitely worth the money. I do question some of the norms for phonological processes but informed SLPs should be able to use their own background knowledge.
All you need Artic Test!
The Artic Test Center Pro is all you’ll ever need to both SCREEN and TEST children from age 2 on up. It is all inclusive - has all possible sound substitutions, omissions and distortions; phonological processes (easily accessed) and what is expected at each age. The target pictures are clear, realistic photos, and you’re able to see how many items you’ve administered/remain to be administered. You get to add a speech sample and rate overall intelligibility, which figures into the report and rating. Not sure about norms and standardization for this test - but I’ve used it quite reliably for about a year now - and I’ve found it quite on target. Worth the investment!

Easy and detailed
This app allows for an easily administered screening or evaluation with detailed scoring and report!! I use it for almost all of my screenings.
Very Good App
I love this app. It’s thorough and efficient. It also allows for the testing of both consonants and vowels.
Great App
I really like this app. The scoring and assessment process is very quick and easy. I really like being able to email the results to myself.
Need better norms? Well here they are!
I am so excited to get the full version of this assessment. Other evaluation tools... (won't mention any names... but you all know what I'm talking about) are over qualifying and do not show the student's progress. This app will let you adjust norms to fit your populations is very helpful with demonstrating progress. You will be impressed at the ease of administration. And...For the price, you can't beat it.

Good. . . Could be better
I am enjoying this app quite a bit. I like the automatic notation of phonological processes, and I love the option of choosing the norms that you want to follow. It has become my preferred articulation assessment tool. I do have a couple of issues, though. One, it only sometimes emails the results when I instruct it to do so. Sometimes it emails several days later. The other issue is with the assessment report. I certainly don’t turn in the report, but I do print it and use it for my records. It is very long with lots of wasted space on the report. Please refer to the report on the Articulation Assessment Toolkit. That report is very well organized and it is much easier to read than the report generated by this app. It looks professional as well, for the folks who may choose to submit it.

Tara
I love this app! It is easy to use and makes analyzing evaluations and progress very easy.
School SLP
I love having a report generated.
Fantastic
I work in the school system and use this app everyday. I love it and my students do too.
Fantastic
Great app for a busy SLP. I love the detailed reports and high quality of the images and design of the app. Worth the money.
Great alternative to GFTA
I use this app as often as I can (meaning, when I don't need a norm-referenced score, which is basically for initial Evans). I like the ability to notate substitutions and phonological processes. It takes a little getting used to, in order to be able to administer it quickly, but once you get used to what and where to access what you need it is a breeze. I would like the option to make multiple notations on a single speech error (if that is possible, I haven't figured out how to make it happen), and also to notate sounds in words that aren't part of the target, since sometimes errors are inconsistent but still worth taking into account--even if it isn't part of the scoring. The report is good, but I would like to be able to use certain parts of the report and not others. Since the recommendations don't always match with my district's ages of mastery, I don't usually give the reports to parents. All in all, I think it is worth the price. Great for a pre-test/post-test, progress reports, and to show data over time for dismissal.

Very good for preschoolers
I am a school SLP working with age 3-5. We use the screener for all our preschool programs, not to select for Special Ed eligibility, but to design whole class instruction which is co-taught by the classroom teachers. The screening app is quick and easy to administer, I just have issue with a few of the test items. Guitar is a terrible word to test initial g in young children, many of them say "itar" or "ditar" even though they easily use g at the beginning of many other words and do not exhibit initial consonant deletion or assimilation in other words. "Yogurt" is also not great for initial y, for the same reasons - "Gogurt" has messed up that for us! Though yogurt is certainly better than "yellow". Many kids say "poop" when they see the picture of mud - doesn't bother me too much, but can get them off on a tangent :).
I would really love the option to organize kids by classroom, right now I add a classroom designator like teacher initials before their name, so that when I am screening or rescreening a class I don't have to scroll through the whole list.
These are small issues though, overall this is a great app, I especially love the speech sample transcription and intelligibility rating.

Excellent Support!!!
Thank you for the quick response to repairing the app crashing after the last update. Tech support was very responsive and helpful. This test app is an excellent review of all speech sounds whether you want to screen by age or assess all sounds. Only thing that could make it better would be if the speech language sample could be speech to text as well as recorded.

Fixed
Thank you for fixing the app. I was able to open and access scores. This is a mainstay for monitoring progress.
Update made it stop working
Since the update yesterday, I cant't get into the app. Every time I try opening it, my screen goes blank and then goes back to the app directory. Now I have NO access to testing or previous scores. Thanks a lot for screwing everything up!!!!
Useful for progress monitoring
I love carrying around this app for a quick check on the kids to see how their sound production is progressing. The screener is wonderful because it test only age appropriate sounds. Also, I can make notes while I'm testing. Everything is just in one place!
Ahhh-maaaze-ing!!!
Seriously the best money on an app I have spent. I spend crazy amounts of money on apps and there are 2 apps that I use daily to monthly and they are both by this company. If this app could be standardized my work life would be complete. As it is, it gives me much more info than other standardized tests so I do this one with the required standardized testing. But, which one do I look at? This apps info! So jealous I'm not a part of this company. I would love to be part of this company's progressive thinking in the area of tools for SLPs.
