ON-DEVICE AI POWERED BY APPLE INTELLIGENCE AI Chat uses Apple's Foundation Models framework to run a real large language model directly on your iPhone. Responses stream word-by-word as the model generates them. Context is retained across every turn in a conversation. Sessions are prewarmed at load time so the first response feels instant. When generation fails, any free-tier credit consumed is automatically refunded. FIVE AI PERSONAS + CUSTOM INSTRUCTIONS Choose the AI personality that fits your current task — and switch any time: • Helpful Assistant — Friendly, knowledgeable, and opinionated on any topic • Concise — Direct answers with no preamble, no padding, no filler • Creative — Vivid, imaginative, and expressive responses • Coding Buddy — Expert programming help with syntax-labelled code blocks • Custom — Write your own system prompt and define AI behaviour from scratch BUILT-IN COMPUTATIONAL TOOLS The AI delegates precision tasks to real on-device tools rather than guessing: • Calculator — Evaluates any arithmetic expression exactly: +, −, ×, ÷, parentheses • Unit Converter — Converts between metric and imperial for length, mass, temperature, and volume • Date & Time — Reports the exact current date and time in any IANA timezone worldwide VOICE INPUT AND READ ALOUD Tap the microphone and speak — AI Chat transcribes your voice in real time using on-device speech recognition, with no audio sent to any server. When you would rather listen than read, tap Read Aloud on any AI message and hear the response spoken back naturally. RICH MARKDOWN RENDERING AI Chat renders full Markdown natively: headings, bullet lists, numbered lists, blockquotes, bold, italic, inline code, and fenced code blocks. Code blocks display the language label and a one-tap copy button. No web views. No dependencies. All rendered locally. EXPORT AND SHARE Save any conversation as a formatted, paginated PDF — complete with title, date, and every message — or as a plain text file. Share to AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or any app via the iOS share sheet. SIRI AND SHORTCUTS Use the Ask AI Shortcut to query the on-device model through Siri without ever opening the app. Use New Chat to jump straight to a fresh conversation. Both phrases are registered and ready in Apple Shortcuts. HOME SCREEN WIDGET Add the Quick Chat widget — small or medium — to your home screen for one-tap access to a new conversation at any time. CONVERSATION MANAGEMENT Create unlimited conversations, each auto-titled from your first message. Rename or delete conversations with swipe actions or long-press context menus. Search across all conversation titles instantly. Regenerate any AI response with a single tap. Delete individual messages to refine your history. All stored locally with no iCloud dependency.
