So annoying

The app is slow boring and easy 😔🤬🄺

SLP

Oh, I wish my app would not have updated. I am not loving this update at all. Actually this update seems more like an entirely new app. I think it would have been much better to launch this as a new app that could somehow be an add on to the old version if people wanted. Or maybe purchase as a new app. I purchased the previous version because of the simplicity and ease of use. I have lots of students who practice on their own using the old version and that is not really possible with this app. It's cumbersome and frustrating and not at all user friendly. I really really hope to have the old version back!!! This definitely is not an app I will recommend. I do see the benefit to some of the things on the new version but I wish it was a choice to use it the way it is currently set up.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear your disappointment. Yes, there will soon be a choice between a quick start mode (how the app previously started) and selecting students. Shortly after version 3 was released, we received a lot of feedback regarding graphics and how to start activities. So, since two Fridays ago, we have been working hard to reintroduce some graphics and to implement a quick start mode that involves selecting decks and sound positions after tapping the Flashcards/Matching button. As of last Friday, the features were made available in a private beta version for a select group of SLPs to test. After the testing is completed, it will be released publicly as an update. *Update - version 3.1 with the quick start mode was released over the weekend. Please check it out.

Buyer beware! This app crashed and customer service has not responded despite repeated attempts on my part. I loved this app but do not recommend it based upon poor service!

Nonresponsive to customers

I did an in App purchase to buy the entire Artikpik bundle. The download was incomplete and I now have only four of the entire bundle?!?!? I sent the request for the tech support and after a week I have NO REPLY!!!!! This is a customer satisfaction business ladies and gentlemen and if your app doesn't fully download EVERY TIME your backend developer has some explaining to do--- or they need to have an alternate download correction for when this happens.

In app purchase doesn't work

I bought the k sound in the app. But it never gave me that letter. Not happy with this.

Help

Wont work on my iPhone. I click on the app and then the first page appears and then it disappears. Why?

I really love this app. However, ever since the new update the program crashes whenever I try to save a students scores, and it is rather cumbersome to record data manually.

Phrases, sentences and stories, oh my!

I like the barebones aspect of the app unlike the other color friendly artic app. However, I have yet to find the option (at least with the free sounds) to put sounds into phrases, sentences and/or paragraphs (short stories). Doesn't work to well with my readers who need to carry over their skills to the sentence and short story level. Decent App Though!!!

Purchased decks don't show up

I am a SLP and got the free version of this app as I only needed certain articulation targets. When I went to purchase the extra targets the app charged me 5.99 and it never showed up in the app for me to use. What a waste of money! Next time ill go with a better application!

Works greT

Great SLP app and works great. My son likes it!

Force closed

Recommended by daughters SLP, but never functional. Always force closed.

Good but could be great for speech tx

Any way to sort words by syllable length?

Wow, love it!

I absolutely love love this app for speech therapy. The words and pictures are well chosen. My clients love to be able to hear themselves say the words. Since it is on an iPad, the draw of the technology is enough that we can do straight drill with the flash cards and still have happy campers.

A con? The plus/minus system for if a child articulates the word correctly is a happy face and sad face. The sad face says "aww" when you tap it. You can turn the sound off on that luckily, but even very young kids are smart enough to see if I am tapping a sad face over and over because they just aren't getting it. It is nice that older kids can use the faces to listen and rate themselves, but an option to hide the data collection with maybe a different symbol would be ideal.

On the note of data collection... So easy! It automatically calculates for percentages for the item in words and sentences based on the data collection buttons (sad and happy faces) you tap. Gives a fraction ( 15/30 ) and the percentage.

Kids love this app and so do I! No more clunky are decks for me :)

Average

I was disappointed with the pictures, vocabulary selection and the phoneme selection for many of the processes. For stopping there is no initial /f/...but there is both initial and final /th/...which would be the last targets I would even think of picking. This is an odd choice, especially for the preschoolers who would most likely be stopping. This is also true for FCD as well. There is no /f, p, t/ but there is /v,z/...odd. As far as pic and vocabulary selection, for "lie" there is a pic of stick figure taking an oath with a big red X over it. Not too many preschoolers would ever get that. For "sue" there is a pic of legal scales and a stick figure looking at it...again, not kid friendly, and how many young kids know what "keen" is. There is no multiuser option for groups like there is in ArtikPix...how come. The playback feature does not work on iOS5 and shuts the entire app down. Overall a big disappointment.

Love it!

As a parent working on articulation at home I love this app! I really love the recording feature and the sentence cards. The one thing I would change however would be the scoring icons and sound effects. The frowny face and "awww" when they miss one is a bit discouraging. I would love to have just a check or a plus or something - and a way to turn the sound effects off. Thanks! I will definitely look for more great add-ons to this app.

full version has been helpful

Our 5yo has mild speech difficulties. After a recommendation from her speech therapist we bought this program, and while it is expensive it has proven a good investment. Our child has really enjoyed, and also benefited, from using this program. So for those who have need of this, it is a good program.

Free Version

In this free version you get one set of "th" cards - beginning, medial and end "th" sound words. It is a great way to trial the full version to see if you would purchase it. Full version is very expensive though!

Great speech therapy app!

This is a great speech app for the Th sound only. I loved the trial version, it records data for words and sentences in the initial, medial, and final positions. I would love to buy the full version, but $49.99 is a lot of money for a school SLP budget, a reduced price would be better!

Absolutely Fantastic!!!

This is a fantastic articulation app! There are so many features, it makes it very easy to adjust the app to meet your needs. I think the amount of cards you get for the price (40 cards per deck) is unbeatable when compared to the cost of standard articulation flashcards. Not only do you get flashcards, but three matching levels as well so there are plenty of options for using the cards. I also really like how the in-app purchases give me the option of getting just what I need for my students. My students really love it, especially the matching activity, and this is a feature I have not seen available in other articulation apps. You cannot go wrong with this app!

Nice interface but....

I really like the setup and look of this app. I also like that you can just purchase the decks you need at a reasonable price. However, there are not enough cards per deck. With more cards this would replace the other artic apps out there. For example, there are only a few cards ( 5 under ar) listed under each vocalic r variant, not enough to make it useful.
