So satisfying!
It’s ana amazing experience to use apple pencil with it. The results are awesome! Feels natural and somrelacing. It can be used as a mindfulness activity. Amazing app and happy to have it back at the apple store!
Amazing App
Absolutely one of the most unique photo apps you can find. It is not an “instant” photo app. It is a powerful rendering tool that does things that no other app can approximate. It needs to be updated a bit. I hope Artamata will invest in it and make it even better than before. As it is, for a real photo artist, it’s amazing!

Had no idea this was still available!!!
I loved this app back in the day! After an ios update had to switch to cleverpainter now this is back and cleverpainter is gone. I think people have the wrong idea of what this app does that’s why there’s so many low ratings. People are probably looking for the instant photo to paint apps. This is a kind of coloring book kind of app. It’s super fun and very relaxing. I love taking the time to paint my photos starting with the large brushes then the smaller ones to add a little detail to my painting. Just with there were more customizable settings. I dont like the random direction the strokes go. Hats off to the developers and thank you soo much for bringing this app back!!! I absolutely love using it and it brings back fond memories of my first iPad. Thank you so much!

Crashes incessantly, losing work
Can I get my money back? This app has crashed repeatedly on a new iPad with a new apple pen. It doesn’t seem to save drafts, so it’s back to square 1...4 times so far . I give up! A great idea, it just doesn’t work.

Doesn’t work at all. No matter what I select, it crashes back to the home screen. I am up to date on the iOS and I’m using an iPad Pro. I’d like my money back. DON’T buy this app.

Menu doesn’t comme out when needed, brushes won’t work most of the time. Very disappointed

Absolutely my favourite app for this sort of thing.
Unfortunately, I can no longer save the rendered images to camera roll, the app just crashes. I can however still email the renders but they suffer from heavy pixilation using this method. Hopefully the author can bring this app back to its former glory.

Absolute rubbish. Steer clear.
Crude and inflexible. An overpriced children's toy. Useless for any really creative fooling around with your photos.

Not at all what I wanted. Will never use it.
Needs work
This app has a lot of potential but still needs a lot of work. The paint colors are true to the photograph or item that is being copied but it just smears across the drawing. One color melts into the next with no distinctive lines to show what one is trying to paint. I tried many times using my finger, pogo, a brush pen and more. Nothing worked! I just wound up with a beautiful splash of colors.

Nice!
I really like this app! At first I didn't quite get it, but I watched the tutorial and it's really easy & fun. Most importantly, it gives you the opportunity to turn your photos into a painting in an original way and not some product of a tired algorithm. I wish it supported full res for non retina iPads, but I was told it could be coming. There's only one level of undo so that is going to improve as well. And, the developer wrote me back when I asked about all this.

Nice update
Great upgrade for iOS 7. I’ve been using this app since the beginning and it’s still one of my go-to apps.
Long-awaited HD upgrade
I have been using Artist's Touch along with other tools to manipulate photos for over 18 months, and have always found it fun to use, achieving great results. The only real problem I had with the app was its iPad 1 resolution, and getting the work printed. This upgrade takes care of that nicely. All the tools are still there, and the functionality has remained as familiar as before.
Nitpicks and feature requests-- 1. I'd like to see a deeper zoom for very fine edits. 2. The largest scale of the brush strokes could stand to be much larger. This would allow the creation of an underpainting effect. 3. A carry-over problem from the previous version is the random resizing and transparency change when changing tools.

Newest Update Not Good
This was one of my favorite apps before this recent update. Now it is very slow to process. The app can't keep up even when I work more slowly than before. It's not possible to see the results right away as my finger or stylus move over an area. App crashes while drawing. This was a great app before. Until these problems are corrected, I do not recommend this app.

Great Painting App!
Love it already on first try. I understand the basic concept and am not afraid to experiment. Didn't need tutorials. Will have lots of artistic fun with this app--worth the price!

Spoilt by low resolution
Good app but very poor resolution spoils it - certainly not good enough for decent prints!
