Broken. And dev doesn’t respond.

It’s been months since they broke this app. I emailed the developer but never heard back. The AR doesn’t work because it just projects a black background so you can’t see what you’re doing. It used to work and was a great app but not paying for it now as the main feature is broken.

Response from developer

We’re sorry the AR feature wasn’t working for you and that you weren’t able to get the support you needed. Since your review, we’ve made substantial updates to ArtSync, including improvements to the AR experience, and version 2.1 is now available. We’d appreciate another chance and would love to hear how the updated app works for you. If you still encounter the black screen, please contact us at support@getartsync.com so we can investigate. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Amazing

I just loved it

Has potential BUT

Stop using the word “projector” please. This app does NOT project anything. It’s the same awkward style as the other apps. Trying to focus on your paper and “trace” what you see on your phone. You WILL need to buy specialized gear to hold your phone! The focus is always fuzzy. The slider for the camera is very limited. Is there hope for this app? Yes. But stop using misleading wording.

Response from developer

Sorry for the late reply, and thank you for the feedback. ArtSync has changed a lot since you tried it, and we’d love for you to give version 2.1 another go. By “AR projector,” we mean a virtual projector: your reference appears on the drawing surface when you look through your phone or iPad screen. It doesn’t project light onto the paper. You don’t need a special stand for Normal mode—a sturdy glass can support your phone above the drawing. Quick Anchor, available with Pro, is another option for a quicker AR setup without first capturing an image anchor. We hope you’ll enjoy the updated app. If the focus still gives you trouble, please reach us at support@getartsync.com.

Camera randomly stopped working ?

I’ve used it fine before in the past but now the camera just doesn’t open? The picture I’m using doesn’t even show up on the screen..

App is ok don’t waste money on pro

The app itself is Great but if you get pro the AR tool is not anywhere as good as advertised, doesn’t track well at all. Would have been better just buying a stand for my phone and using the normal mode.

Response from developer

We’re sorry Pro didn’t give you the AR experience you expected. ArtSync has changed a lot since version 1.1, and we’d love for you to give it another try. Version 2.1 brings a refreshed interface and improved AR setup. You can also explore Quick Anchor for simpler AR placement, or Remote Canvas for drawing with a two-device setup. We hope you’ll find the updated tools more useful for your drawings, and we’d love to hear how they work for you. If tracking still gives you trouble, please reach us at support@getartsync.com.

Amazing!

I love the fine image move option! It’s really helpful for my project. Also being able to trace multiple images at the same time is great✨
