Awesome and interactive app that is really tailor made to be used by kids, especially those who have autism. Very user-friendly and easy to use

Kid-friendly

Simplified and easy-to-use autism tracker and tool. This app is kid-friendly due to simplified features and instructions. Hoping in the future, they could integrate more interactive games but overall, I have a smooth experience, no bugs.

Extremely disappointed

I am frustrated with the new update on the ASD tools as I have already purchased the app and now it's requiring either a monthly or yearly subscription. As a professional occupational therapist using this for kids, this was a beneficial tool for transitional skills as well as a nice tool to be able to provide a visual schedule especially with children diagnosed with autism. I've also recommended this app to parents but now unfortunately they are not able to use this app without increased cost due to the monthly or yearly subscription. Many of my families can't simply afford or justify this cost increase. As of now, I will not be purchasing this app as I have already purchased it and I will not recommend it to fur parents that I work with. Please take this into consideration when you erase customers already purchased apps as well as the financial burden that you place on families that are trying to help their children.

Cute and helpful

This is the first app of its kind that I have tried and I have to say I really like it. It’s thoughtful and fun to use. I’ve been using it for the last couple of months and find the visual schedule really helpful. There are a few things that could be better, for example I don’t always know what the menu icons mean. Also, since I’m new to the app some of the terminology is unfamiliar to me and it would be helpful to know in context why certain tools are beneficial. Overall giving this a five star because there’s a lot of potential here and it’s already helping me.

Nice & Easy

This app is easy to use. It comes with a library of pics and let's you add pictures from your photo library. It is very easy to set up. It has first and then or Steps that you can put as many steps as you'd like.

I paid for this app outright a year ago despite its lack of updates and unfinished product in the entire decade it was being “created” and now I am expected to give money for a subscription. I cannot even see the supposed updates without paying for the subscription to know if it is worth my money. To boot the creator was not friendly about my original review which was subjective but not harsh. In an overt subscription based world this is just grotesque and greedy. I am a parent too btw creator your personal life does not outweigh me paying you for your product.

Ultimate ASD toolkit

I love how customisable the visual scheduler is,especially being able to adjust how many steps are displayed on the screen. Running through routines has become simple and straightforward. I found it pretty easy to get started right away setting up a schedule , and I really appreciate the option to add your own images. It would be amazing to see an audio feature added to the visual schedule and first then tool in the future so there is an option to read out what the next step is.

Lost access

I’ve owned this app for many years but the most recent update added a subscription paywall and “Restore Purchases” is not working. Please fix this. I shouldn’t have to subscribe to an app that I already own.

This app is too basic for being roughly 11 years old. It will get the job done for me and my ASD child considering I paid for it. It’s just frustrating. I don’t want to get harsh I think this app is cute and has potential it just has fixes that need to be made. The side panel buttons have no labels. The visual schedule lists are not editable. You mess up one thing or need to add in a task to the middle of the list then you have to restart the entire list. You cannot permanently set a timer on tasks in the visual schedule lists. Due to that I have to ask seperate timers in the timer list. Neither me nor my child have to patience to switch back and forth between lists. To remedy that I could have used split screen with a timer however this app does not support split screen. And the picture icons have set labels that can’t be changed I don’t always want to go seek out pictures being able to change labels to a picture that suits us would be nice. Understandably things can’t always be a one size fits all but even for basic needs this doesn’t fit very well. Hope the creators can fix these issues. The interface really is cute the alarms sounds are adorable.

You can reach out to me anytime on Instagram, inside the app (via the Contact Us button) or via my website www.asdtools.com. If you had reached out earlier I could have helped save you a lot of this frustration. There is a bug fix being worked on right now address a lot of the issues you have raised. The side menu will be getting labels in the next update. All items can be edited to a certain extent. If it is a visual schedule that came with the app, you can only delete it (this will soon be updated so you can edit them). To edit hold your finger on the item in the menu and swipe left. It will bring up the edit or delete function. To add a new item into a visual schedule, go into edit mode (swipe left and select edit), add an image (it will appear at the bottom of the list) then hold it for 2 seconds and you will be able to move it into the position you want it. Thank you for your compliments, I'm glad you like the look of the app and I will certainly work very hard to implement the changes for your pain points as quickly as possible. The next update is will be out in April. Choiceboards are being added, bugs with the visual schedules fixed, labels on the side menu added and then shortly afterward the image library and timer will be receiving more love and attention. This app is the BOMB! Love it!

This app is like having four apps built into one! It is versatile and has the bandwidth to be useful in everyday situations. This app can help with anxiety, frustration and also teach new skills! Jo is willing to add or change how the app works if you communicate your goals and needs with her. She is also on top of fixing issues when they come occur. Applause for ASD Tools!

Easy to use and ready straight out of the box

Straightforward and easy to use during a meltdown. Helps us to avoid stressful situations and structure her day.
Lots of images and sounds. Good alarm sounds (gentle) to reduce panic when it goes off.
I use the if then and timers every to day help me manage my daughter before, during and after school.
Thoroughly recommended.

Great app!

I work in education and have been using this app for many years. It’s made my work so much easier being able to carry my visual schedule with me on a tablet or phone, rather than printing and laminating everything. The new features are really fun, I let my students pick which timer they want when they are working. I would highly recommend this to anybody who works with students or adults who need visuals!

Recent update not working

The app worked perfectly fine before the update the other day and now it won’t work at all-we somehow can’t get past the loading scree . My 4 year old is so disappointed.
