Good app. I love knowing why I got something wrong. It gives you an explanation of why you got it wrong. Sometimes it sites its sources so you can go read an article and see why you got it wrong. Now I’m learning not just taking a test. Please include L1, L2, L3 and G1 for us people in education. We are required to have them for accreditation.

Love it
As an ASE certified master tech, i enjoy keeping my certifications up to date with up to date questions and information. This app definitely helps me learn alot more with the videos and additional information if i get a question wrong. Very happy and grateful for the app. Very few questions are not real life scenarios but again, even if it is manufacture specific, it can encourage you to look up more information of that topic and BAM, now you know something you didnt even if u dont use it.

So much easier
I’m grateful that this has been made available. With the nearest testing center nearly an hour away, the online maintenance of my certification has been a real time saver. There is better opportunity to learn as well, when explanations whine the answers are available for review. Thanks ASE for providing an alternative to paper testing at testing centers.

Easy and convenient
Very easy way to renew my certs without having to drive an hour to the closest testing center! I wish they would add all the tests to it and not just A1-A8.
Update ?
It says update the app, I click on the update, it takes me to the App Store. No update to click on. No typical app update starts. ( using latest Apple iOS ) please help.
Glitchy.
Sometimes it won’t let you back out when you open up a chart or wiring diagram and you lose access to the question. Clunky cheap interface.
Changing times
I have been ASE certified for many years. Throughout my career more technicians were afraid to take test. I believe many left the industry because of poor compensation. Twenty years later new technicians don’t know basics and rely on OBD2 codes, replace a part and then screw the customer. “Now that we replaced the part we see something else and pay more money “ the culture has changed Young technicians today make as much as I do, but can’t diagnose basic simple things I think that APFC in my opinion because of the diversity and different types of vehicles they should take specialize into the manufacturers because taking these tests currently now on the application there’s things that are not even related to the car line which I work on. However, my basic background I can take model through the questions. The only issue I have is the on my phone. The font is so small. I cannot expand the diagrams to get a good look at the diagram to take and get a correct solution so I have to do second chance question. In a nutshell, I think that the ASC testing should be specific to a car line and the questions tailored to the specific car line. I believe this would help the technicians further and frankly generate more revenue if you all.

Don’t use this app
If you use this app you are going to failed the test. I used this app for study toke the test on 5/16/2024 and nothing that was on the test was on this app.
New update
Just downloaded the new update and if you open the schematic you can’t close it out and can’t answer the question. It still shows a unanswered question but still says I answered it wrong. When I click on the unanswered question it just shows a blank screen.
Worst app update ever
I received an email today to update my ASE app because of the notification service. As soon as I did, NOTHING in my certs would show. I was able to fix this by syncing data but it’s now 10pm and I received 8 NOTIFICATIONS THAT I HAVE NEW QUESTIONS. It used to be one, now it’s a spammy, disruptive 8. Good job guys.

ASE renewal app a great learning tool.
At first, I was skeptical about using this new app, but after eight months now I’m really starting to like it. It’s really easy fast way to renew your tests without having to drive to the test center in the rush-hour traffic.
Great Option!!
The renewal app gives an extramarital level of connivence and the ability of a continuous certification.

I got this app, thinking it would be convenient instead of rectifying. These questions are completely idiotic and have no relevant issues to anything. The real re cert questions are much better. From vibration frequencies to crazy specific manufacture, questions to experimental test questions. They are just all over the place.

ase please help!
great idea with 1 MAJOR FLAW. no way to update your payment info either in the app over the phone or by logging into your my ase account online until it’s too late. my card info was on file and set to auto renew but i needed to change my payment info due to credit card fraud and couldn’t. i even called ase and was told i had to let the subscription expire then i could upload new credit card info. that’s what i did. this caused me to lose all my progress in the app and all the unanswered questions that i was going to go through. i had multiple tests that i only had to answer 2 more questions to get my 1 year extension. i had almost 100 unanswered questions. all lost cause ase didn’t provide me a way to update my card info. THANKS FOR NOTHING ASE!

The PDFs are way too small and difficult to see on a phone where app is meant to be used. Need to come up with better idea for diagrams and questions for use on a phone.

That’s just another thing we have to do along with figuring out what you are meaning when you don’t give all the information and details needed and answers are factually incorrect. Someone with real world experience needs to be involved in questions not just someone with book or computer knowledge. Questions are often to vague with not enough information and answers are simply wrong and explanation not plausible.

Crashing
After most recent update app is crashing upon opening, hard to recert when the app is not functioning…..questions are way to broad without enough information needs re-working.

Most recent proctored exams scored A1R 24/25 A6R 23/25 A7R 22/25 and A8R 25/25. In addition have owned/been running my own repair facility for 15+ years. So before you assume and make comments on what/whom your tests are designed for you may want to think about the clientele who is using your app.

It works
So you buy a year subscription to this app. After answering 8 months of questions correctly, you become recertified. If u miss questions, you have chances to retake what you missed… it’s fine and dandy to recert, however it’s only good for 1 year. They won’t tell you that by the time they send out your paper copy certificate, it’s after 12 months from when you originally subscribed. I passed all my tests at 8 months, then waited another 4 months for my subscription to end before I finally got my ASE certificate.
