Bad game

Confusing , laggy, auto play and pay to win

Great game but unplayable on Mac

I’ve loved this game since its global launch but had to stop playing due to lack of storage on my phone. I decided to download it on Mac but it just puts an error message and doesn’t let me play, no matter if I update the game or not. Please fix this.

my favorite game!!

love the characters and gameplay so much. really really worried about EOS ;_; please pick it up, it’s worth it and deserves a long life!

Crashes all the time!

It crashes way too often on my iphone 16p. You need to fix your app first

Honestly idk, not for non-weebs

No English, mega weeb energy, long tutorial, slow, it took so long to get started I don’t think I ever got to the real gameplay.

Slowly playing through a weird “story”(?) that was incomprehensible in weebspeak turned me off before I could get to what might have been fun.

It doesn’t open for me anymore

I really love the game but when I try to get in it kicks me out I tried many times, what do I do :( UPDATE! IT WORKS FOR ME AGAIN :D

AMAZING

I love this game!! I love the details in lore, design and their art!!! Maybe I’m not the biggest fan of the gameplay but that only because I’m not used to this type of gameplay. I really think yall should reward your writers for making the lore interesting!!

Pretty underrated

Characters are pretty tho I gotta admit start of the story is confusing to get thrown into, and I just wish the subtitles for what the characters in your lobby have when speaking stayed on a lil longer so I could read the whole thing. Gameplay as a whole is pretty fun even if I don’t fully get it over all underrated

Waste of time

If I can successfully download the game after waiting an hour or longer, I still can’t get it to update and get past 30%. Mind you, I have maybe 4 games installed on my phone and no apps taking up space except for 4 language apps, 5 streaming apps, and Word for my resumé. That’s literally it. I have all the space in the world but the game just won’t download. I even deleted the game and reinstalled. How disappointing.

EOS Inevitable

I once said this game would have been better as an actual game due to the great strategic combat, decent story, and fun use of characters. I still believe that. As it stands, Ash Echoes as a gacha is not doing well. Gameplay is repetative after awhile and game modes are uninteresting. Story goes on forever with new unnecessary characters. Japanese voice has been discontinued, and revenue for all regions is discouraging.

I would recommend avoiding investing in this game since it's highly likely it will EOS soon. Just like Alchemy Stars, it had a solid run in the first year but due to it's core systems was bound to fail in the long-term; basically, they should have just made it a game.

4.9?????

Idk how this game has a 4.9 star rating mc doesn’t even have a voice mine as well play girls frontline 2, its a massive reading simulator looked cool but ill pass

Gatcha is pretty greedy

Pretty hard to grab any current characters when starting out

Hope Japanese dub stays

I’ve been enjoying it so far :3. I’m pretty worried about it loosing the Japanese voice acting though. I don’t know if I’ll keep playing if that happens.

Am desperate bout the current summer event and pulls

Limited mount of pulls also introducing lots to the event memories… I understand this is a gatcha game but the point is beyond the normal pulls, why putting lottery system to the event memory dupes…also why the international server is unfair compared to the resource available for the CN one. Why only paying to get the chance to draw lot for frames? why the leadership system require more resource to l7 (yes the amount is same if u count to l9 but compared to that l7 is more critical and more ppl stressed bout get it) I played this game since the beginning and now I have to say my patience is gradually die out. Will quit.

Great

Great game, beautiful characters and art.

In terms of gacha it's comparatively generous & dailies aren't time consuming.
Gameplay takes some getting used to but it's fun once you do.
Breath of fresh air in the gacha space imo.

Best RPG since Alchemy Stars.

This of course is just my opinion, but ever since AS went EOS I’ve been looking for a new gacha game to play. I’ve played GI, HSR, WUWA etc. However, Alchemy Stars always remained my favorite for its unique (niche) gameplay, visually stunning characters, in depth stories and more.
Ash Echoes has all that for me and so much more that you truly never get bored. I’ve only been playing a week or so now and I can already predict this game will be a mainstay on my phone.
People who mainly play open world games this may not be for you, but I’d still give it a try to see if it’d surprise you in any way. It does take up a lot of storage so be aware of that. There’s a lot to this game so I can understand why, but for AS that was a turn off for a lot of people so if you really want to experience this game and have access to a PC I’d definitely play try it on there.
I hope Ash echoes last for a long time into the future because it’s truly amazing.

Yeah…but no.

Just a quick one here. I read a few reviews about how great this storyline was/is and was intrigued. I play epic7, fire emblems, and Honkai star rail for reference. So, although I don’t exactly LOVE the tower defense style, I tried to slug through the gameplay as best I could. It seemed manageable except I finally realized that, gameplay aside, after half an hour in, I still had no idea what was going on in the story! 😂. It’s seriously no wonder though, as truth be told, there are SO many names, titles, and alerts flying around, and all of them randomly appear in [square brackets] for some reason….that I can’t follow any of it! Not to mention the ever-frequent flashes of weird warning signs (you’ll see) which, while they may be part of the plot, nevertheless take away from an already bizarre convolution of events. In fact, I’m genuinely thinking I missed something and that this must be the third or fourth installment in an already-charted storyline. Is that what this is? That would explain it. I’m thinking it is a culture thing so I’ll also say that maybe I just don’t know HOW to enjoy this one? It’s true it has good graphics in the animations and I can see that the creators took time and effort. I WANT to like it, but I just don’t.

it keeps crashing fix it.

The Gameplay is Disappointing and Bad Translation

I played this game since launch and will say that in the beginning it really is a lot to get through. So many different buttons and events ongoing it was very overwhelming and I’m surprised I stuck around for this long considering all the issues. This game is not like other gachas where you just level your character and skills, there is a confusing nexus system that you need to do in order to enter battles. I still don’t completely understand how it even works (not many people do either, the scores you get are mostly rng). The gameplay is tower defense, which got really boring and stale pretty quick combined with the nexus system.

The games strongest point is the story not the gameplay. The prologue is hard to understand because they just lore dump everything in the beginning (they even have a dictionary for all their terms). After the prologue though, the story is pretty solid. Most people play for the story only anyway. Although I will say the event stories are a bit lacking, this is expected after all but the quality between main story and event story is quite drastic, other games are able to put good event stories as well. For example, Baili and Scarlett’s event story could have been so much better had they delved more into how the characters grew up after the lab mission, really disappointed we didn’t get that because I was hyped after seeing the Code Pandora prologue (wasted potential for a great event story). I also noticed that the recent stories translations (for example, Uni and Thea’s event story) have been getting sloppy, many grammatical mistakes and questionable phrasing. The story is the main appeal so I’m not sure why they are slacking on the translation.

As for the good parts about this game is it gives a ton of currency, very F2P friendly. Also very pretty art and models. In the beginning, there is quite a learning curve to go through. This is ironic that the game is advertising itself as “The gacha with real gameplay” in its title. If they put as much effort into the gameplay and event story as they did with the main story, this game would have been perfect.

Edit: Ended up quitting this game since the recent translation for stories is just bad and they don’t seem to care to improve it.
