Great app works well!
Such a Great addition to a Smartphone when you need the information / images quickly. And good first aid and other info. I couldn’t use the species ID if I did not have a data connection…perhaps I need to open and “download” every one into the cache so I can use the app remotely?

Does not update. So app does not work on ios 16.3.1
An offline version coming please?
Great app, but it’s quite likely that when you need it there may be no signal. An offline version would be fantastic!
Outdated info
I find the snake section to be spot on but some of the information on the spider side is inaccurate and outdated

Uses the photos on here to hurt others. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Great app… if you have signal
Not sure why but it doesn’t keep the snake profiles in the cache. So everytime you open it you have to download new images. This makes it useless in the bush when there is no signal.
Do Not Support This App
Do some research and you’ll understand why you should not support this app or African Snake Bite Institute on any platform.

App keeps closing
Could someone please help! Every time I go into the App, i can select a species but then the App closes before it opens the selection. I can’t get information for handlers in areas either. I’ve deleted and reloaded the app a few times but it keeps on closing.
Simply awesome
This is a phenomenal app. Useful for anyone from the herpetologist researching snakes and their distribution to someone finding a snake in their garden and needing a snake catcher. Covers African snakes and has heaps of added first aid advice and more.

Problems
I experienced problems the first time I tried to use this app to send a request for identification purposes. The app questioned the spelling of my email address and wanted to use a capital letter in the address.
It also insisted that I had not completed all the fields.
I eventually gave up in frustration.
