I usually buy per issue and enjoy the readings. Because I like the magazines, then I decided to upgrade into one year subscription via iTunes. Right after I made the one year subscription, the apps stops the e delivery of the magazines. The last one I got was for Sept-Oct issue. And my one year subscription should be till next August.
