App Loses It’s Place
If I leave the program running and go to another app temporarily the app always returns me to the wrong page. I have to remember myself and scroll using the sweep at the bottom of the page. This is a GIANT PIA and should have been debugged long before this.
Great magazine, dated App
I love the magazine. I just wish the App was updated to make it more accessible. I’m thinking something similar to the New Yorker or The Atlantic apps. Would give it 5 stars.
Registration signup does not work — wasted money
I purchased an issue and when I tried to read it it made me register. The registration form did not work, tried 3x. Reading as guest also did not work. Rip.

Total Dystopia
This is totally dysfunctional. Installed the app and made a single-issue in-app purchase, and only when I tried to read the purchased magazine issue did it ask me to register with name/email/password—but then it refused to complete registration, so I can’t even read what I just bought! The help screens reference “iTunes” (which I believe has been inactive for years now) and are written in broken English in places—is this a total scam? Am I in North Korea now? DO NOT INSTALL!

What’s up with this app?
I live this magazine but this app is horrible. Read this mag and others on the Kindle or B&N if you actually want to enjoy them.
They will scam you
I was very interested in a subscription but only if it included the ability to read back issues which is a feature that most digital magazine subscriptions offer. There was no information regarding this feature in the app description and I was unable to find any information with a google search. They offer a free week long trial so I figured I would sign up for the trial and cancel if they didn’t offer the ability to read back issues. This is where the shadiness begins.
After starting the trial it was clear that they don’t offer back issues so I immediately canceled my subscription. It should be interesting to note that their is no information available within the app about how to go about canceling except for a single blacked out page hidden deeply within the legalese of the app. I’m not kidding when I say it is blacked out. The page is shaded dark gray over black typeface that is at a much smaller font with spinning animated icons over that to further obstruct your view of instructions on how to cancel the subscription. For what it’s worth I was only able to locate this information after searching all FAQ sections and every available link on the app itself and googling outside the app and going directly to Asimov’s web address etc. There is no email address for question or concerns or contact information of any kind except an email address to some unknown publishing company that did not respond to my email about them not refunding my money which brings us to the point of all of this rambling which is that after successfully following the steps laid out by Asimov’s to get a refund they went ahead and charged my bank account the full amount of $35.99.
I of course emailed the metzger publishing company through the only email address provided on the app (again only located after a long exhausting search) and as stated earlier received no reply. I searched google for any contact for Asimov’s digital magazine and could only find an email address for Asimov’s physical magazine. I sent an email requesting a refund and they basically told me tough luck and referred me to Metzger Publishing who as stated earlier I had already emailed and received no reply. At this point I submitted a form to Apple to petition for a refund. After answering some basic questions my petition was scheduled for review and a few days later I received confirmation for a refund. It’s now days later and I still have not received that refund.
Long story short: if you love getting ripped off, lied to and being scammed out of $35 then by all means sign up for a free trial of Asimov’s Science Fiction

Great magazine
The only issue I have is that it is a facsimile of the printed magazine, rather than adapting to the screen. So I can’t read it on my iPad mini or iPhone. But love the content. Worth the subscription!
Great except for Magzter add injection
As usual, the quality of the magazine is exceptional. However recently Magzter is now injecting an add page into the magazine it seems to be every day to sell their version of newsstand.
This is not coming from Asimov's as there adds are relavent to the material.
Adding once per magazine copy is one thing but a new copy of the same add is ridiculous.
This is the only magazine that I still subscribe to outside of Apple News. If Magzter thinks this will get me to even look at their service they are seriously in error.
I am thinking about changing my Asimov’s subscription to a different provider because of this despite the added inconvenience it would bring.
Back to Asimov’s - still excellent after all these years of reading!

Nothing works
Error message when I tried to download a magazine I’d just purchased. Spent $8 on a magazine I can’t read. The error message says to “contact them” with no indication how to do that and no link to contact information in the app or on the websites associated with the product. When I tried to delete app and restore purchase, that doesn’t work either.

Terrible Aplication
This apt is outdated and clumsy. No memory as to where previous session ended. I like magazine content but really hate the apt for difficult navigation.
The Best Sci-Fi
I love having this little magazine on my iPad, wonder if my stacks of old print copies in the attic are worth anything? These load up really fast though and it's a great reading experience, love being able to bookmark pages.

Interface not acceptable
As with the previous poster, the stories are great, but the mag will not consistently open to the last page.

My purchases never restore correctly.
Every time I restore my iPad from backup this app does not restore my purchases correctly and I have to contact customer support. What a huge pain it is! How hard can it be? The magazine content is good though .
Love the stories
Just started my subscription and I am not disappointed. All the stories and novelettes as well as novellas are great.
Vanishing subscriptions
Purchased two one-year subscriptions through Magzter, this one and Analog. Both vanished when Magzter implemented their new system of requiring users to have a Magzter ID instead of the Apple ID as had been used before. After several exchanges with their tech support, and I was glad to at least get an answer, they were unable to retrieve my subscriptions and unable to explain what the problem was.
Very disappointing as yearly subscriptions aren't cheap. As with others I am moving my subs to Zinio where I've never had any problems.
