Miss the old version

I’ve had an account on ask for nearly a decade now and i really don’t like this new version especially the unknown questions that i’m getting from unknown people whom they ask a group questions.

I’d love that you really bring back the old features, these nearby questions are ridicules and pointless.

Been on since I was 13

I’ve been on this app since I was 13 and sadly i need to delete it cause trashy people wishing horrible things on transgender people ect and I can’t stand for that when I have family friends I love fighting to be able to just live day to day so if the day come where this app doesn’t allow bullying transgender people and hoping for an transgender auschwitz I will come back till that day I won’t if I could give zero stars I would but unfortunately I can’t

Good app

I really like this app , some of the questions are interesting. I wouldn’t recommend this app to young tweens or teens since i do receive a lot of inappropriate questions from other users. Other than that , when you use it cautiously , and block those who misuse the app. Then it’s pretty good. !!

Used to be a good app in getting to know friends, now it feels spam

You need to fix your algorithms. Personal questions don’t show up in real time. Sometimes, it takes days or weeks before an old question shows up. Im also pretty convinced that a majority of the personal questions that I get in my inbox are spam. We should also have the option to disable seeing questions that aren’t personal/ people who follow you.

How come iOS users can no longer signup with the username of their choice? Upon sign up numbers are automatically added to the username and capital letters aren't applied.

Complicated to use

The wall should display everyone's questions instead of your own. Your own questions should go on your profile. Constantly getting question on random things should be turned off and only receive questions asked specifically to you. Anon answers and others should be displayed for everyone to see in one thread to keep post/questions and users active not individual threads

Also ppl ask the stupidest questions everyone once and while someone will ask a serious one

Bullying and Mental absence

This site has big issues. I heard of child porn showing up on peoples accounts. Experienced bullying and total intentionally causing mental abuse to people using this app. They join together and pick on people who are just trying to pass time or meet new people. It’s not properly managed in my eyes and isn’t a good site for any child. They first had it rated for 12 yr olds and older…now it says 17yrs but really isn’t monitored. I do not recommend this app to anyone. As for myself I am more disappointed in the people on there more than anything. Grownups acting like school yard bullies.
I recommend this to no one.

No Freedom

Even censoring out any swear words, and answering as open as possible. There is no freedom of speech, and was warned not to say anything that would help snowflakes that report me for being too honest. It’s actually a waste of space

Worse and worse

I’m on ASKfm since 2011 and I loved every second of it. Even if I used to receive hate back then, I never cared, why? Because it was just a question, nobody could see it. But now, with the chat option, I have to go through and delete every bad comment about myself. I hate it! Please delete the chat option! I am soooo sick of blocking and blocking them when they are creating so many accounts after I block them. I am a verified and VIP user and I am not even taken seriously by ASKfm community when I report something… it never gets deleted, but if I post something and someone reports it, even if it does not go against anything, I always end up with the answer deleted by YOU.
I miss the old askfm or at least without the chat, I want the colours back, it was so fun… and more mood, season like autumn, summer mood etc. I’m willing to pay for VIP if this includes updated, but that chat… omg, you should really care more about people safety and mental health. That it’s horrible!

Minors under 13

The app says 17+ in App Store but if you create a account people will report what you say as a Adult and in their policy it says 13+. Why?

It’s frustrating as a adult that children have access to adult things

Discriminative app

Every time I’m ask a question it’s always to do with the LGBTQ+ community and when I politely make a no comment as I don’t want to get involved I get people comment on the questions being rude, abusive and sometimes threatening me and when I report it nothing happens as askfm thinks there is nothing wrong with that kind of behaviour, but when I ask a question about peoples opinion on the autistic community as I am an autistic… I get reported for violating The terms and conditions of the app and they accept it. This is total discrimination and a complete violation of my human rights to freedom to speech and independent thought. DON’T USE THIS APP

Horrible for mental health

A lot of friends I’ve made on this app and myself have been stalked, harassed and just abused constantly by pervs and trolls. Tried contacting ask about it but they didn’t do anything to help and it has completely destroyed my best friends mental health. It’s fun for maybe like an hour because you get s*xually harassed so like keep a watch out or just don’t get it if you value any kind of mental energy you have left because it will drain you of it.

App needs more supervision

I’m not here to criticize the app, but people can go intense if you don’t agree with what they say or just find it necessary to threaten you, or if they wish they’ll delete everything.

Mind you I’m not a fan of politics I don’t debate that on any other platform, I usually just ask questions for personal opinions and some have good responses and conversations but I don’t got time for negativity or to help others who think deleting everything and posting they’re rude comments makes them look clever.

Apparently this is not a good app to have small conversations or ask for legit answers out of weeks using the entire app I probably only had two peaceful conversations everything else all people want is negativity.

Most of the time I’ll try blocking users but it’s impossible they still receive your questions and can still respond so at that rate you’re better off not blocking them because it won’t work with the users unable to be blocked another basic question means same heated answers.

So if its not working out sure, just keep looking for something else I don’t believe in negativity nor do I wish to leave low reviews when I leave low reviews i’m basically saying be cautious of what you’re downloading.

The app is still good and lots of communication just needs a bit more moderation and making the block button more useful otherwise I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I hope ASKfm continues to grow.

Fix the app

They really need to fix the app back - so that’s answers aren’t appearing in the questions/shout outs area and sometimes you don’t see them because you’ve received so many answers. If they want to keep the answers under chats that should be fine but it’s not a question so why should it take up your whole feed when you can’t even clear them out of the way!
