Great app, could use improvement
I love the Duolingo-ish styled lessons and the ui is very cute. I have two suggestions. The first one would be to add sound to the app for getting questions right, completing a lesson, etc. I think it would make the lessons more engaging to learners. The second suggestion is to not have the signers mouth the word because it makes it easy for lip readers to finish the lessons by reading instead of learning. I know this would take a while since you have to make new videos of each sign you guys have, but it would definitely help. Like I said before, the app is already amazing. I was super excited when I found out about this app because I’ve been waiting for an ASL course on Duolingo for years now, so I’d like to thank the developers for finally making one that’s accessible to people who don’t want to pay for a subscription.

Wonderful tool
It is a very helpful learning tool that I am excelling quickly at due to the tremendous layout and easy to follow lessons
If I can learn asl so can you!
I wanted to learn ASL for no reason even thought I have hand problems (probs not the best idea but it’s fine) I thought it would be a cool laughed to learn this is awesome I payed for the plus! Sadly the next day the free to pay model came out the NEXT DAY but that’s fine I like the extra practice models. And get really happy when I watch people using asl and can UNDERSTAND some of it! Thanks asl bloom for making the best asl learning app! (Ps the dog is so cute)

Great ASL app !
This app has been fantastic so far! The lessons are well thought out and teach you most important and simple signs first. I am partly learning the basics of ASL for fun, and partly to communicate with a child I am going to babysit later on today. This app has been very helpful so far, and I am so grateful there is an app such as this one. It’s almost like a Duolingo for ASL! I would 100% recommend.

ASL
This app is soooooo good for learning ASL it has helped me so much.
Great app!!
Easy to understand. Slow enough! And free!
Love Learning
I have been wanting to learn ASL for a while now to connect with some family friends and this app has helped me a lot. The only issue I see so far is that I am not purchasing the subscription, so I get the two free lessons/day, however, one of my “lessons” today was simply a text chat with the dog interface asking me to review the app. I feel like if you’re going to advertise two lessons then I should get two actual lessons.

Emergency ASL is behind a paywall??
I really like the way this apps works compared to other asl apps i’ve used. I’m not deaf but I do have selective mutism. I’ve been recommended to learn asl to improve my quality of life.
I like that a lot of this apps lessons are not behind a paywall and instead are unlocked daily which makes you feel more inclined to return daily. Of course there are features/lessons that you would make people pay for however the one that surprised me to put behind a paywall is the emergency section. I feel like this is one of those things that are incredibly important to know and to put it behind a paywall just feels wrong. I would feel better if it was something you could unlock by watching a add, but to completely lock it behind money just doesn’t feel right. again I think this is one of the best asl learning apps i’ve yet to see.
I feel strongly when important information like this is limited by what you can afford. Even if it’s just putting half the lesson length up I feel is better than not having it. I only know how to say “are you in pain” but that doesn’t really help when you can’t understand anything beyond “yes”. again this app is great and I am really grateful it exists. I will continue to use it as It has been helpful thus far.

4/5
I love how much this helps and that you have an option to slow it down, one thing is I wish it was free or you got more lessons for free.
Bug
The update came out 2 days ago now causes the app to crash instantly when I try and open it. Please fix! Other wise it’s been a great app!
Learning to sign
I love this app it has given me confidence in the ability to learn to sign. Thank you
God
This App Is So Good Im Deaf And It So Good.
Beautiful app
So helpful I’m new to sign language and this has helped me as a 10 year old😍😍😍😍
Needs an assessment
It’s the best asl app I have seen so far but could really use an assessment for people who are joining the app at an intermediate level. It is frustrating to want to learn more advanced signs but being shot back down to basic signs like hello.
AMAZING🤩
This asl app is so amazing and it helps you through every word and I love the fact that you can slow it down bc I couldn’t tell what they said anyway I think this is a great beginner app anyways love you ASL bloom!!!!
Amazing app
I know deaf friends and sick of writing with paper and I phone so this is amazing
Easy to use and learn asl
This is maybe the easiest way I’ve seen so far to get into learning how to sign ASL as someone who doesn’t know any ASL at all— great app! Thanks
Perfect for ASL learners
I don’t know a lot of sign language but this app helped me learn and communicate with my mother. It’s way more easier to learn then saying everything with finger spelling which would take a long time. But learning new signs the conversations I would make with my mother is quicker. Thank you ASL Bloom! 🙌🤟

ASL bloom- great app!!
I love this app so far! It’s been a few days, and the lessons helped me learn new signs quickly, and they were fun. My sole complaint is that the free version limits to only a few lessons a day. I wish it would have an unlimited number so I could do this all day!
It’s a good app but watch out
I’m three days into this app and it’s really good! The only problem is I can only do one lesson per day unless I want to spend almost a HUNDRED DOLLARS yearly! And some of the lessons aren’t even interactive. Like…huh? But this app has been really helpful so far and I already know some basic phrases and I love how they have native asl speakers doing the lessons. Honestly, the premium is super expensive and I wish I could get it so I could learn more but ig not.
