let the stream flow 🏞️😭
Love Aspen Public Radio and am so grateful for the standalone app! Only one one thing about it drives me into bouts of raving lunacy. When the stream is interrupted for whatever reason, like switching between cell towers or wifi hotspots, it throws thus useless error: “ALERT! There was a problem downloading the audio” The thing that is so very annoying is that you have to unlock the phone, bring the app to foreground, and tap OK to acknowledge to make the error dialogue close. I mean, I know here was a problem because the audio stream stopped and the story or music or whatever was interrupted. Come on! Is there no other way to handle such an exception? It happens all the time, and many times in a row, whether driving, walking my dogs, riding my bike, you name it. I thought maybe the Apple Watch audio playback user interface or Siri could help but no, you have to unglove, unlock, and tap to acknowledge the obvious. Again and again and again and again. Sigh. Radio days were better. Please please please fix this pesky persistent problem. Thanks
