assa is a nutrition and training journal that gets out of your way.
Open it, type what you ate in plain language, and press return. No searching a database,
no scrolling a picker, no building a meal from parts. It reads like a Notes page, not a
dashboard.
LOG THE WAY YOU THINK
• Type it — "2 eggs and toast, coffee" logs three things at once
• Say it — hold the Log button and speak; it works for food, weight, water and cardio
• Scan it — barcode scanning pulls the product straight in
• One line can hold several entries. assa splits them for you.
EVERYTHING IN ONE FEED
Food, water, weight, workouts, cardio and supplements all live in the same day view.
Tap the summary to open Insights, swipe a row to delete it, tap an entry to correct it.
TRAINING THAT KEEPS UP
Start a workout and get a focused full-screen view with your sets, weights and reps.
Save plans you repeat. Log runs and rides by voice. Everything you finish is yours to
review afterwards.
INSIGHTS THAT EXPLAIN THEMSELVES
Your daily insights are rule-based and show their working — where a number came from and
how confident it is. AI explanations are optional, off by default, and never replace the
underlying numbers.
APPLE HEALTH
assa writes the food, water, weight, workouts and cardio you log into Apple Health so the
Fitness app and your other health apps stay in step. If you turn on "Read activity", it
reads your steps and active energy to offset your remaining calories. That's off by
default.
YOUR DATA IS YOURS
• No ads, no analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers
• Never takes or stores a photo — the barcode scanner reads codes live
• Export everything as JSON and CSV, any time
• Delete your account from inside the app, and it's actually deleted
• Your sign-in session and any AI key stay in your device's Keychain
Available in English and French.
assa is a journal, not medical or dietary advice. Calories and macros are estimates drawn
from food databases and barcodes; tap any entry to see where its numbers came from and
correct them. Talk to a professional before making health decisions.
